I really do!!!I made a thread shortly after Christmas about a statistic I found upon searching the tables of last few seasons for a 'tradition' One I found was the mid-table curse. Which was rubbished by people on here.2002/03 season; Wimbledon claimed 10th position2003/04 season; Wimbledon relegated, Nottingham Forest claimed 14th2004/05 season; Forest relegated, Millwall claimed 10th2005/06 season; Millwall relegated, Luton claimed 10th2006/07 season; Luton relegated, Colchester claimed 10th2007/08 season; Colchester relegated, Charlton claimed 11th2008/09 season; Charlton relegated, Sheffield Wednesday claimed 12th2009/10 season; Sheffield Wednesday relegated, Doncaster Rovers claimed 12thOut of those in a relegation scrap, we are the only ones who were mid-table last season. Can we be the team to stop the curse, 10th seems the most popular, yet it has dipped to other positions in recent years, should we go down, this would have occured for 10 seasons.Surely its not so easy to ignore now?
I am confident Donny will be safe at 5pm tomorrow......or safe barring a genuine miracle from Scunny
Have to say that Scunnies 2 home games have me worried, that pitch. We saw what a poor pitch can do to better teams QPR as my example.
Preston were 17th last season and the Blunts were 8th. Do those count as mid-table? Just when I was feeling a little more confident your post has made me worry again! :S
The only thing missing at the end of that load of bollox is the oft-used pronouncement - Fact!According to http://www.soccervoice.com/groundsch.htm Scunny's pitch is 113 by 73 yards, thus it is no smaller than numerous other Championship pitches.Compare that then to:Chelsea, Stamford Bridge, 110 x 75 yardsFulham, Craven Cottage, 110 x 75 yardsLiverpool, Anfield, 110 x 75 yardsBirmingham City, St. Andrews, 110 x 74 yardsNewcastle United, St. James’s Park, 110 x 73 yardsTottenham Hotspur, White Hart Lane, 110 x 73 yardsBolton Wanderers, Reebok Stadium, 110 x 72 yardsWest Ham United, Boleyn Ground, 110 x 70 yardsTo suggest the size of Scunny's pitch is a factor in their chances is a very poor argument based on zero research and a shed load of paranoia. Spurs titchy little cabbage plot didn't exactly cause Real Madrid too many problems, did it?
What have I done to you????There you go again with that paranoia... ;-)Oh, and say goodbye to Scunny for me.
What an absolutely meaningless thread. All it is is little coincidences that is made out to mean something in some kind of spooky way. It's like all the coincidences that are being drawn up at the moment between Kate and Princess Diana. \"Oh, they're both getting/got married on the 29th, etc\". It means nothing.Another coincidence is William's been inside both of them. Earth shattering stuff, eh!
FAIL.
