This goal difference thing

Don't Sheff U have to be nine goals better off than us if they win both and we lose both and the goal difference is wiped out. as eight goals makes it a draw, then it it go'es to goals scored and we have scored more.

Thank you didn't read that as just back from holiday. That makes it all very clear.
However does this still drag Palace into the mix as they are only one goal better off than us.

OK, this is me in arse well and truly twitching mode but looking at the size of the points and goal difference you can see why the odds are perceived to be well in our favour....BUT

It probably isn't quite the way it seems.  This truly is one of those 'one game at a time' scenarios, as all that needs happen today is for the blades to win and we lose, by a couple either way.
Then, with three wins on the spin they have all of the momentum and belief and all of the pressure is on us with only one chance remaining to gain safety, and with the Swans in the play-offs, they're unlikely to risk playing their stars for the full 90.

Oh God how I hope it's sorted today.

Every time I've had the trotters before a game, we've won. :P

again that depends, as somebody else said in another thread, if swansea win today, and cardiff lose, that means swansea could still nick 3rd place if they hammer the blades which would give them the second leg of the playoffs at home against 6th, rather than away against 5th.
