I'm mates with a guy who said he saw Elton John at the Keepmoat once. We didn't sign him though. Don't believe everything you get told.

Awesome signing if we can make it.

Great strike force that if we can pull it off Sharp, Hayter, Brown, Vine & Fairhurst!! Plenty of goals and experience!!

Lets face it we all don't want this guy associated with our club.

Chris Brown is a discrace, I don't want him here.

You could be correct Mr Dog.

Exactly who is he in discussion with?. SOD and ROC in Cumbria ( so it would have been as easy for Brown to go up there ), dont think JR in country, so maybe MW is doing the business, or Dave Morris.

Probably would be MW and Dave Morris doing a lot of it to be fair.  Remember MW knows Chris Brown as he was Assistant when Brown played for us before.  Hope this is true, would be a good signing IMO for a free aswell.  Pretty good in the air and has ability as he showed with us before.  Personally I think he'd be a great player alongside Sharp.

Would be a cracking signing. Saw him terrorise Moss Rose with his pronounced stepover routine back in 03.

In all fairness he might not be in contract talks yet, he might of gone to the km for a look round the facilities and someone has simply showed him round.
I agree would be a good signing.

I sincerely hope so.  Him and Billy up front together: YESSSSSSSSSSSS...

P.S. Obligatory addendum: \"Plus don't forget we still have James Hayter.\"

Were it to happen, I should think Brown and Vine both coming in would not only be the icing on the cake up front, but would likely mean Fairhurst not seeing much of the KMS this season.  No bad thing: let somebody else pay for his development.  That said, we haven't signed either yet.

dead right about Fairhurst too!The lad needs a  full season  loan out to a club in League Two to develop .... to our satifaction ... or not ! Benching it with us is good for neither party !

Sharp, Vine, Brown and Hayter does sound like a good top 4, however, wouldn't mind making it a top 5 and adding Keogh?!

It lacks pace. So does the defence. We need a few younger bodies in.

It's true though. Out of those four they all possesses similar characteristics and playing traits. We need someone young who can run at people and scare the living daylights out of defenders like Richard Naylor every day on the training ground.

You mean like Bennett?  Pace out wide is more important than up front, look at other successful teams.  QPR, Swansea and Norwich didn't have lightning forwards but did have some pace out wide.  Swansea the prime example Dyer and Sinclair really quick out wide.

The pace of Bennett and Copps on the flanks behind a top 2 of sharp and vine/brown could be an option?
