If that is true, it`s the same scenario as when we signed Oster, he had 6 months to prove himself and he earned a longer contract, in fact the situation with Barnes practically mirrors Osters

Now let's not get too excited guys. True he looked good at Grimsby but he has been something of a 'morning glory' in the past. Let's hope SOd's magic can turn him into a consistently relaible squad member.

Thats why a 6 month deal is such a good idea initially. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

If and when this is confirmed it is fantastic news. Cannot wait for the season to start.

Brilliant days transfer activity.

I certainly was feeling a little down on our chances of surviving relegation before the summer transfer activity but now i'm more than optimistic of us putting in a fight for a top half finish with a bit of luck and more than a bit of luck with our injuries.

Great signing !! just spoke to a Derby fan and he tells me that the lad was on 19k at Derby !!! makes you realise how far we have come as a club when we can claim a scalp like this, and before any one states the obvious yes I know were taking a gamble with his injury record, but hey not much of one eh chaps, well done SOD and the board.
