Must admit that made me smile too.

Just going back to something I said on another thread earlier....could you imagine Man Utd's 5th choice striker in the Red and White hoops ;)

One other thing is clear from watching this as well. If Rovers ever harboured any dreams of reacching the Premier League they are going to need some kind of proper Youth team set up...as Man Utd prove once again

Quite amusing watching them try to play a passing/possession game.

I'm reminded of a walrus trying to juggle feathers in a hurricane.

Firstly let me say I'm no Salford united fan and I dislike florist far more than these two put together, but it is a laugh watching the \"pride of Yorkshire and champions of Europe\" chasing shadows against Salford reserves.

Aye, playing the last 10 minutes with 10 men by choice...a right back as left full back, a right winger at right full back and a striker and midfielder as their centre halves

Fergie is taking the pi$$

Oh and as an aside, young Ben Amos in the goals has looked assured....hint hint ;)

They're a bit thick really...

The sing at us \"You're a town full of Leeds fans\"

and then at Man U \"We support our local team\"

Then they wonder why everyone hates them.

They are a national joke, when they started singing \"champions of Europe\" the first time the 5 Live commentary team almost burst out laughing!

This was my first and second most disliked teams playing each other, but strangely I warmed to the mancs especially after hearing the mancunian accent in their singing eg \"This is so f**kin ezzie\". Guess its the real fans that made the trip?

We support our local team HAS to be sang back at them when we play them, classic, pissed myself too at that. Plus something like, \"cockeys\" \"brummies\" \"you all come from Doncaster\" etc to keep at them all game. Just don't watch the game!!

I suppose taking the piss out of the Leeds fans raises the point - How far away should you live from the club you support?

I live 40 minutes drive away from the keepmoat, in the Peak District, do I not qualify to sing \"we support our home team\"? With that logic I'm assuming both VSC directors keep schtum when that particular song is bandied about too?

Should there be a maximum radius from the keepmoat that fans should live before they have to support someone else? 10 miles? 20? 30? 50?

Let's face it, who cares who supports who and how far away they live. It's irrelivant. Those living in Retford should support Worksop, those in Epworth - Scunthorpe, Misterton - Gainsborough, the list goes on and on. Let's forget this tribal clap trap as it's garbage.

Theres no differnce between donny white and out of town man u fans.
Doncastrians who follow other towns teams and then slag donny off make me laugh,
The sight of a certain halfcaste wednesday fan ( who ironically lived in a caravan in askern and not the sharpish dressed fella ) leading the wednesday fans song of \"your just a town full of gypos \" was a hilarious sight

And Benaldo's point is that it would be hypocritical of several of our fans to sing it at Leeds when they come here.

Including me. I wasn't born in Doncaster, have only lived in Doncaster for about a total of four years out of my 47, and am the only member of my family that supports the Rovers. Hardly qualifies me to take the piss out of Leeds fans, does it?

Personally, I don't care where Rovers fans were born, work, live, retire to. The club needs as many as it can possibly get from wherever it can get them.

Too true. Every single fan counts (well, their money does anyway).

I know that, though they have far more out of towners, never lived there, weren't born there than we do. Its a custard pie they layed on a plate to throw back

So on the basis of you point shouldn't Retford people support Retford rather than Worksop and while we are at it there are a couple of pubs with a side in Epworth and Misterton.
You understand the point that was being made yet choose to be pedantic.
