\"Exciting times ahead\". Cracking signing if he comes.

I'd still love to know how we couldn't give Sean the budget to improve the squad yet we can Deano, though..

Like I said yesterday in the Diouf thread, there's something dodgy going on here! You never guess who's chimbondas agent is...yep it's Willie McKay! Has he got links to the rovers board or something, seems to be getting us a lot of players and a manager to.

My mate at work who's a Sunderland fan was saying today about Diouf that he left Sunderland after threatening to have Anton Ferdinand shot. He added that by all accounts though Chimbonda was the biggest ego and menace in the dressing room. That was before any of this broke- We just need Cisse now to complete the set.

Maybe Sean was given the budget and offered the players, he just didnt think they were right for his team?!

In addition, a new manager will nearly always be offered funds to bring in his own personnel. That is what we are seeing here.

If he signs, I'm first in line in the Club Shop to get the new 'Pascal Chimbonda edition' Rovers gloves!!!

Chelsea said they'd be shipping out Lukaku in January on loan if he didn't get enough games ;-)

What IS going on? Chimbonda is more disruptive than Diouf! and with less talent!
Are we now Willie Mackay's shop window for his collection of unwanted footballing cockheads? good job Barton has gone or we'd be \"in\" for him too.

Actually heard this last night but didn't belive it for one second! Again, as Diouf he would be a top class signing. It looks like short term deals are in the pipeline that suit both parties, basically the club put the two of them in the shop window for a relatively low wage until January and hopefuly help give us a fighting chance in staying in the division. Both of these will be out to impress with will only be good news for us both on the pitch and also I cannot see them wanting to ruin there hopes of a deal back in the Premiership off it.

Exciting times indeed!

He can play at left back too, which is where I think he'll be playing with Spurr out for a few months. Very versatile.

I can just see it now....

A smoke filled room in Monaco. McKay tells the Rovers board that if they get rid of Sean he can arrange for Saunders and some of his stable to come to the club to get us out of a hole...

It's like a 40's film noir. :)

See to recall he plays left back, although known for getting forward and getting caught neglecting his defensive duties. Good player and of the two I'd give this fella a chance.

Would you want him to replace George in the team ?? (Unless George reverts back to centre half of course)

Only a thousand miles or so off the mark, he lives in Doncaster.

Chimbonda would be a pretty amazing signing IMO. I heard about it on the way to the game and didn't really believe it, but it looks likely this one could come off, unless it's just to 'put his name out there' by his agent of course...

Like I said elsewhere, just seems to me like an expensive Muzzy. Nowhere near as good as he was, for me.

As for replacing George, maybe we're pushing Jimmy out to LB? But I suppose you can never have enough cover, especially with good PL experience.
