I'm sure plenty would hope he does well but not at the detriment of Rovers in the same way some kept an eye out for the Darlo results when Penney initially took over.

\"SOD worshippers\" is strange terminology, if you're referring to the significant number of supporters that still supported the previous manager when he was here then I would imagine that most if not all of them are supporting Dean Saunders and, more importantly, Doncaster Rovers now!

As DonnyNoel says, I think most people would hope to see SO'D have a good career no matter where he goes next, it would be a bit odd to bear malice to a manager that worked as hard and brought as much success as he did.

But we're all Rovers fans aren't we? And that involves supporting the team and manager here and that's what I think everyone is doing!

Sorry but the title of this thread is just provocative. Given Saunders start I would think 99% of posters would agree perfectly with your point that it was time for a change. Just don't see the need for the occasional dig at SOD. If you weren't anti SOD its a random thread to start.

I'd expect Billy Davies would be first choice for a lot of Forest fans, incidentally, but whether or not he'd go back is another matter.

Also, Deano gives an interesting (and diplomatic) take on the end of SOD's tenure at Rovers in his BBC interview after the Peterborough match, which is worth a listen.

I believe a majority of members of this forum who liked Sean have supported Dean more than the ones who are now asking for to get behind  Dean, supported Sean when he was here.  But we need to move on and every one will get behind the team.
