Hull vs Rovers: Predictions
« on January 29, 2012, 11:25:33 pm by karldew »
Before the game tomorrow I would take a point, but to snatch 3 points would be brilliant

Predition 1-1

Same line-up as bristol but someone in for an injured copps?

:rtid: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :rtid:

Don't think I've ever seen us win at Hull, we always seem to get destroyed for some reason, the closest we came to getting anything was the 2-1 defeat in League one, think it was a mulligan free kick but Elliot got the winner late on...

Although the hatrick from Jason Price against us stands out well in my memory, as well as the Rovers fans throwing coins at him...

EDIT: Forgot my prediction, must be a school night :chair:

I think we will lose 2-1, I would love nothing more than to see us win there but I think a draw will be a valuable point.

As for the attendance it will be dissapointing whatever happens considering there was 24000+ in League one when we lost 2-1 and around 4000 Rovers fans...

I'll stick my neck out and say 2-1 win, really don't think we'll keep a clean sheet but hopefully sharp and diouf will do the business upfront:scarf:

As for the team i'd stick with the majority of the team from the bristol match but would bring in plessis for gillet(to beef up the midfield as we really need to start doing better away from home) and bamogo for coppinger(by all accounts he's brilliant so why not :)

:rtid:

Come on Rovers

Could be an interesting night, with it being deadline day. Will Billy be playing?? Difficult to predict until the team is announced.

Hull will be looking for a big reaction after the loss to Crawley, in past when Rovers have had a weeks break we have been awful and got trounced e.g. Leeds home, Dingles away.

Unfortunately, I'm saying Hull 3 vs 1 Rovers

I think we took a similiar number in League 2 as well. Be lucky if we take 700 this season.

As no one seems interested enough to start the lucky pint match day thread for tonight's game I'll put my prediction in here.
A 3-0 loss. With an inevitable continuous slide to L1.

I seem to remember thinking Hull beat us at home because they were just fitter. I can't say that now. I think we'll see a win tonight, despite everyone wanting Rovers to lose and slide into league one.......

When we still had Billy i thought we'd get a 2-0 win againsty Hull, Now he's gone and we have f*****g nobody to score the goals i think we'll lose by the same scoreline.

5/1 against with the bookies. If they were offering 50/1 i wouldn`t have more than a couple of quid, when do we ever get owt there?

Its happened before, when a big player leaves someone stands up to fill the gap.
I think tonight could be a turning point for someone in the club to make a name for themselves.
2-1 win for me.

From the Beeb:

\"Rovers have lost a divisional high 12 games and conceded an unrivalled 33 Championship goals on the road. They are yet to keep a clean sheet in a league game away from the Keepmoat.\"

Notwithstanding that the Beeb reports that it's 62 years since we beat Hull away, I'm going for a 1-1 draw. We're likely to concede, so I'm hoping we'll also score...

I'll do a little sex-wee in my pants if we nick a point.

JOC Locky Hird Spurr
Gillett Stock Oster
Bamogo-------------Bennett

Stranger things have happened.

For once, I'd like to see the ref have a decent game and recognise both teams play by the same rules.

...with all the recent negativity (or opinions) on this forum, that's so optimistic, it's beyond belief!!! :)

Great result away from home by recent standards and more fancied teams have come away from Hull with nothing. Looking forward to the 'Just Back' reports and expect Button and Hird to receive the praise again.

Blackpool's timing was brilliant whilst SO'D is taking his time at Forest. Looks like Jewell's time at Ipswich is secure for now (Thankfully).

There are more twists and turns to come yet.
