A big thanks from me too - both Gartom & Berkshire much appreciated

Also to Rob for taking over, whether short term or longer (hopefully)

P.S. Probably been listening to too much of that Vogon poetry?

Many thanks Gartom and Berkshire, it was never easy to be daily involved in Donny and being so far away, it speaks volumes about your commitment to the club. The VSC will be poorer for your absence, and I am sure we would all wish you the best for your future.

Can I ask whether Gareth and Steve will continue to post on here, or whether their resignation from the board means they have no time for such things anymore. Also, like to offer my sincere thanks to both for all their efforts and hard work on our behalf. Good luck to both.

Sorry to see them go.  Hard-working guys are always tough to replace.

Thanks Gareth and Steve

Sorry to see them both go
But it's typical that their is no explination or nothing
I must admit my disappointment that this announcement
Was not made by gartom himself

I also think this is the problem with having one person holding the relationship
With the club as where does the vsc stand now we all know gartom
Had a great relationship with jr and now this is gone where does the vsc stand
I am guessing on the outside

Good luck for the future but dissapointed no word from gartom

I'd say Gareth has his reasons, we don't have to be privy to what is his private life after all.. He has worked tirelessly for the VSC and deserves all our thanks for doind what must at time seem a pretty thankless task.

I daresay when he is ready he will be in touch again..

On an aside, I too would like to see Rob take over the reins , if his other commitments allow..

like TRB I heard a \"rumour\" the other day and then you start speculating and all these bricks start falling into places I don't like ...

very nervous about the general scenario I'm afraid

Anyone who puts the time and effort in like Gareth and Steve is worthy of my total respect.

I sense that we have problems behind the scenes because of the timing of the resignations.

May I suggest that Fuzzy should be approached to take a position on the Board. His contributions to various forums are incredible and he would apply a steady hand in times of troubled water.

Well done both of you , now it's time to build on what you've achieved. Time to move the idea of the 'Trust' on a fair bit.
It's the job of the 'Trust' to scrap it out for the supporters in a positive way with the club, things were getting to cosy imo and I will now reconsider joining up again.
I have felt for some time that some ideas/suggestions were strangled out of individuals because they didn't 'fit in' with a party line of sorts.
Any organisation like this has to have only the best interests of it's supporters at heart without outside influence.

Thanks to both. You saved all of the hard work of setting up the VSC that could have been lost when Andy stepped down. I appreciate all that you have done (and I know it will have been far more than many people can imagine).

Good luck Rob and he rest of the VSC board

Your post makes me nervous...it seems as though you have heard of a series of events (Gartom been one) and now this has happened the other things you have heard are possible?

Many thanks for all the effort that they both put in. Andy Liney was a large act to follow but Gareth you managed it superbly.
