Please stop twisting and manipulating words.I've given a reasoned arguement why I feel he deserves a chance next year while also accepting he failed this year, all be it under extremely difficult circumstances.Answer the question.I've answered it. No you said nobody has answered Jonathan's question. You just made up another one. It's not a question of what has he done, but I think he has shown he is going to give youth a chance, and bring some players through, something we haven't done for over ten years. Put it this way, I'd rather have someone in charge now who knows the club and the players rather than somebody new coming in, who won't have a clue who to keep or who to get shut of. Somebody new is not going to have more money to spend and I think Saunders is a good judge of player.

And all the youth players were already here before he arrived.2. Saunders is a good judge of playerI think all the evidence points to the opposite of this. Over 100 players at Wrexham before a settled team, and he's had the final say in signing Diatta, Plessis, Illunga, Chimbonda and Bomogo.

Have you never bothered to take a few minutes, just a few, to think about some of the more informed observations there have been on here this last couple of months? They really should be guiding your thinking you know. I'll be blunt: who decided to sign Tommy Spurr? It wasn't SOD. Who blew a large proportion of the transfer budget as a consequence? Who wrote his stupid, stupid contract that we're paying for now? Who decided to offer at least 3 of the more high profile players very significant wage increases 'to stop other clubs sniffing around'? Again, it wasn't SOD. So who then had no money to put together a squad that would actually work? Who chose not to sell Billy when Saints offered 3 million quid for him and so chose not to invest in 3 or 4 decent players who could have shored up the defence and midfield? Who had no choice but to rely on loans, has beens and might be's? And finally, who knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that as a result of all this, we were in trouble right from day one?I don't suppose you'll ever be willing though to allow such insights to penetrate that befogged brain of yours though Red will you? Armchair criticism with neither research nor depth nor understanding seems to be your forte.BobG

Strangely enough I agreed with SOD's sacking at the time and don't hanker for his return now. I respected what he did for us but realised he had run out of steam; that much was obvious to all or should have been. However to replace him with 'soundbite' saunders (with his lack of experience) and ask him to run this strategy was absolute madness and I said so at the time as did many of us . Backing someone for the sake of it and thinking you're being supportive is also........utter madness.I don't care about the future of DS or his 'clean slate' , I only care about the future of this my club. For that reason alone I believe he has had ample time to prove his ability (given the players at his disposal) and has been found wanting (except by you of course)!
