Blunts £15m loss over 2 season so having to listen to bids for all players#

Plus lost their most sellable asset Evans

GK already gone!

Swindon however decent bet as will Rotherscum in DIv 2

We are still in limbo so I'm not suprised that our odds are drifting. As and when we sign new players and some of our existing leave our odds will reflect this also. 33/1-40/1 Is where I expect us to be. The Blades odds are ridicoulous, Preston are signing players left, right and centre so their fans are lumping on.

Preston, spending way beyond their means (mostly on the Stevenage team) playing under a prize t**t and with Peter Ridsdale as chairman - what could possibly go wrong?

It really is too soon to call but I think the inflated worth being attributed to Swindon in the markets right now is daft. Is it purely buying into the Di Canio hype?

You just know it's all going to blow up soon with Di Canio and Swindon.

I fancy Bournemouth and Brentford to do well.

1)Doncaster Rovers
2)Preston North End
3)Brentford
4)Crewe
5)Bournemouth
6)MK Dons

I expect the top 6 to look something like that.

Sheff U and Coventry are terrible bets! Both will struggle i reckon.

I don't think Ched Evans has been lost. In fact, I'd hazard a guess his precise whereabouts at all times will be known for the foreseeable future.

If I was a bookie there's no way I'd be offering odds on us at the minute, come August we could have the nucleus of a good team bolstered by some decent free transfers, or a team made up of conference players and the youth team!

I'd be amazed if Ridsdale got a job running the checkouts at Donny Asda, never mind chairman of a football club. Fear for Preston over the next few years, I really do.

Cant see 11/1 on Mk Dons. As short as 7/1 with some bookies.

Swindon are a fair side. And they have both momentum and averagely decent attendances, and huge prices, when thyey're doing well. They won't be a pushover next season.

Putting a score on for us, I'm also an optimist, sick of being negative, hearing negatives. Time to move on and be more supportive.  :rtid:

grayx,
M.K.DONS are 11/1 with betfair but you can only get £25 on at that price

Preston are one of those clubs whose fans only ever come across as arrogant. They've been nailed on for promotion or "play offs at least" for about 6 seasons.

All the best to Risdale and Westley.

Notts County look a decent bet, hopefully we will be in the mix somewhere up top,if we can get some players out and a few in,we missed out on quite a few signings upto now i hope there is a plan behind the scenes!!

They are set to lose some of their best players as are Carlisle so they will be in the same boat as us. Until the mid of July I doubt any clear picture will evolve.

I think my prediction for the top 6 wont be far off what will happen tbh. Bournemouth and Brentford are looking ambitious in the transfer market, plus we all love Crewe (THEY'RE GREAT) dont we?  :)

I think you've overestimated Preston and if Crewe finish 4th I will buy both the home and away shirts for next season with 'Oster 16' emblazoned on the back, will alternate wearing them to every game the following year.

Everybody loves Crewe Alexandra though! I can see some teams just rolling over for them and letting them win, because they are that lovely a club  :)

£50 goes to the VSC funds if your top 6 are the top 6 irrespective of the order in which they finish

Personally I doubt if you will have even 3 right and that is not an attempt to "slag you off" just that it must be  hard to predict at this distance who will do what when the squads are not finalised - let alone injury / form / suspernsion / bad weather crisis during the forthcoming Season

Anyway my pledge is here  in black and white

... and as I was a bit hasty ...if we (Rovers) finish top and the others are NOWHERE I will give the £50 to VSC anyway

I know I said it would be difficult blah blah blah but I could guess we wont be top

You must spend a lot of time playing those silly soccer management games.... they are only pretend you know........ or is it that where you learned so much about football? As Captain Mainwaring would say "Pike! You............" I'll leave you to fill the rest in
