Nobody's mentioned the government's axing of the fuel duty now they've found room to do it.  Good news for everyone really.

Really good news. But to be fair, I don't think a lot of people on here would praise the Conservatives for doing something good.

Well I`m going to be cynical and say this was planned all along and accounted for in the budget, they just did n`t mention it then, preferring to wait while now and announce it as a caring move by the Tories and give them another chance to bad mouth labour, I wonder what other bad news will slip under the radar on the back of the fuel duty news?

If Labour had still been in power we'd be paying an extra 10p a litre if the coalition had stuck to their stupid plans. Well done George. We're all in it together.

It should have been you being grilled, not your poor underling.

I don`t think she joined the debating society at posh school, I was embarrassed for her, she should do herself and the rest of the country a favour and go back to the treasury and boot Gideon as hard as she can in the b*llocks for sending her out to be humiliated like that, then again the boot won`t hurt him, because he has no b*llocks!

All she had to do was answer a simple question. Well done Paxman.

Surely informing the public of the action (ie the people they purport to represent) should be the primary consideration not political maneuvering to deny the opposition a few petty points?

I'm becoming very disillusioned with UK politics.
