Severe lack of consistency should be a common theme around the Weaknesses question. It was why Sheffield United sold him to us in the first place. He looks like he had potential early on, getting a run in the first team, but anything that knocks his confidence and he finds it difficult, and a long time, to regain it.

One penalty miss in the Championship cost him his season as never recovered from it, and barely got a game in the first team after that.

I don't think many were disappointed to see him released. He was a regular in the Reserves and even there he didn't do a lot to convince Rodgers to keep him on.

He will show glimpses of quality in League One no doubt, but he is no first team player, he just doesn't perform week in week out like you'd expect him to. He wanted to kick start his international career after his move to us but it was just never going to happen.

Was not disappointing to see him leave, as he hadn't performed for us for a long time.

He had a few good games under Souza but was it a short-lived spell in the first team. Rodgers dropped him early and he was never really competitive with Sinclair and Dyer.

To me he seems like the sort of player that wants to be the star without having to work for it. Will thrive when praised but if/when his bubble bursts he seems to give up on himself.

He'll be a managerial challenge to keep him motivated in my opinion.

He may well be a great league one player since he will be quick and tricky winger and with a lower class of defenders, he may well be able to shine.

His best position is as a right-winger I think, but he could play left or a position just in behind your centre forward too.

Assets :
Quick and good with the ball at his feet

Detriments:
Swingy swingy form
Confidence issues
Small stature
Nowhere to be seen in defence

Agree with what has already been written, most frustrating player to have in your team as he does have plenty of skill but rarely showed it when playing for us or his numerous other clubs.

He was a very promising youngster and was highly paid from the start so never had to extend himself and he seems quite happy just to do the minimum wherever he goes.

Good luck with him Donny, we were glad to see him paid off and I am pretty sure he won't become one of your favourites, as he has no heart

Well, SO'D had a knack of turning stalling, inconsistent players into Championship standards, so hopefully Dean has inherited that!

The fact is if the guy didn't have any flaws he'd be nowhere near DRFC.

In L1 and L2 players are either on their way up or on their way down. Time will tell whether he's here to rehabilitate his career.

SOD had a knack of turning previously fit players into the perennially injured.

When you buy bargain basement players what do you expect, something's got to give.
