Tuesday Predictions
« on August 19, 2012, 01:04:05 pm by MrFrost »
No disrespect or getting carried away but we should be beating Bury. I'm going for 3-1 with Paynter, Brown and Bennett.

Attendance 5561

Hoping there will be more there, especially after yesterdays win. Can't see it though, and Bury will only bring a couple of hundred if that.

Its going to be a tough game. They will come for a point and put 10 men behind the ball. A early goal will be needed for us to get a few. 2-1 Rovers.

Bury will win. They are surely a much better side than Walsall looked yesterday and they'll be more pressure on us playing at home.

I'm going for 3-1.

Basing that solely on the fact I see Bury as a kind of Tranmere level side and I think we will get chances.

Brown(pen), Jones and Bennett to score.  They get a late consolation from a free kick.

We have to perform at home. Not only to get promoted but to get fans back on side.

To be fair, in the early 90s Bury always had a handy side and we were generally rubbish.  I remember rocking up at Gigg Lane full of confidence one year, only to go home on the end of a 4-0 hammering.  Kevin Hulme played for them that day and destroyed us.  Signed for us the season after.

Tough game with next to no chance to rotate players round

So going for 1-1 draw but either side could win
Paynter to score after 62 mins

2-0 with a performance that shows the players are hungry. One that will put bums on seats so we can go from strength to strength.

Paynter to get off the mark.

I'm willing to have you a bet thats not the case. Winner pays to a charity? Deano has said we let them have the ball just like teams did to us under sod.

Can't believe no-one's picked up on the attendance gaff. Dangerous betting, I'm sure Ladbrokes would take your money off you for that one ;) Actually I'm surprised they don't already offer it.

2-0

Despite struggling a little on Saturday M.Woods will get on the scoresheet along with a defender scoring from a set piece (perhaps Jones?)

Incidentally, we havent played them since the 2003/4 season, during which we did them 3-1 home and away.  And you know how that season ended if you are looking for portents.

This will be their first ever visit to the KMS.  I think the occasion will be too much for them, playing a massive team like us in a stadium like a mini wembley! ;)

How i look at it,they've had the upper hand in the past, now it's our turn football goes in cycles just like life,it will be much tougher, their danger man is Andy Bishop stop the supply to him and we will win,we have a better technically and more hard working team than them this time, and that's not including the Walsall result which was good, this will definitely be a tougher one!!

I honestly dont see them getting too many chances.  This will see us more on the front foot and (one to please Mick here) dominate possession.  I can see Copps having a huge influence on the game.

Edit - just found out that Peter Shirtliff is their caretaker manager.  I suddenly feel very sorry for the poor Bury fans.
