Players are coming in irrespective of Copps£

Rob Staton has just tweeted, there will be players coming in before deadline even if Copps doesn't leave. The board are backing Dean despite being up to the budget (good for them).  :clapping:

Just heard Deano and read the above and looks like the board may have given Deano a bit more flexibility with funds/acquisitions.

I think it's fair to say Deano has done all that has been asked of him in the transfer market whilst sticking to the business plan.

The focus seemed to be on Copps because he's perhaps the most valuable assett we have however, looking at the highlights and celebrations from t'other night, he looks like he wants to be here.  If that means we have to carry his contract then so be it. Hopefully the 'investment' in him will be rewarded with wins, points, higher attendances and sales.

He looked a class above on Tuesday night. Knew when to pass, when to shoot, when to make a run etc. His touch taking Syers' pass down into his path in the build up to the 3rd goal was sublime.

It'd be a real shame if he left so close to his testimonial which he thoroughly deserves for all he's done for us over the years.

We need to keep Copps.  His contributions against Hull were crucial to the result and his enthusiastic response to our goals shows where his heart is.

I was thinking something on similar lines Rob. May be a presentation from us, the fans, irrespective of whether he leaves us or not this season, as gesture of thanks.

Possibly an oversize shirt, signed by as many fans as poss with printed words on the back something like 'Boro' Boy, Donny Lad forever' or summatt !!

If only there were petitions for public to sign to offer him the freedom of Doncaster, although signatures can take a lifetime to get
