surprised it hasnt been said yet but he was great last night considering how long hes been out. He snuffed out several Norwich attacks and had our best attempt on goal.Harper and Hulme were also lively so at least deano has some options. Houghton and Norwich fans were quite complimentary on local radio afterwards .

Martis looked awesome last night. We actually joked if he keeps this up West Brom will sign him in January.
On the Norwich boards a lot of their fans had Gary Woods as MoM. :scarf:

was at the game last night and indeed shelton stood out at the back. james husband had a good first half down the left too. brown looked lively when he came on, hume looked frustrated at not getting the ball to him, the rest were average at best, couple good saves from Woods but my heart is still in my mouth when he is anywhere near the ball.

I agree that Martis and Jones would be a very good partnership. Jones is just what Martis needs. We know Martis biggest problem, when he's playing, is his confidence, he can go from one extreme to the other in very short time. I'm sure Jones could have a massive influence on him.

His biggest problem is his fitness. Hopefully we can get a few consecutive games out of him now.

I can go back to wearing my 10/11 home shirt with 'Martis 4' on the back, without people laughing at me then?

One Swallow does not make a summer. Let's see if he can keep fit for 5 or 10 games.

Yes i'm not getting to carried away either, when he proves capable of staying fit for more than 2 games in a row we will see, but he certainley wouldnt be in my plans once his contract expires which is hopefully the end of this season as he is one of the highest earners we have left.....

We seem to be forgetting Martis and Jones ARE (or at least were) a great partnership. Hibs wasn't it where they formed the pairing that won a major Scottish trophy?

Jones played the entire 2007 Scottish League Cup Final from start to finish. Martis was brought off the bench in the 90th minute only - presumably due to fitness concerns.

In his "I'm here cockers" interview on Player, Rob Jones said renewing his partnership with Shelton was his main reason for coming to Donny... something like that.
