Alan Pardew/Newcastle
« on September 27, 2012, 04:46:51 pm by Rupee92 »
...Alan Pardew and his staff have signed an 8 year contract extenstion!!

Has Mike Ashley lost the plot?! Maybe Pardew has some dirt on him?!

Either way, Pardew and his mates will be laughing all the way to the bank once he receives his compensation payout (no way will they last 8 years)!

How do you get into this game. Once your in you can't go wrong, just ask Sven!

Blimey. Imagine if they go on a 6-7 game losing streak now. What kind of position would Ashley be in then?

It has been suggested on the radio up here tonight that the 8 year deal is to scare off other clubs from poaching Pardew. If they want him NUFC. Would want 8 years compo.
However they believe that there is a clause that states if they sack him he is entitled to 1 or possibly 2 years salary as compo.
Maybe Ashley is a shrewd businessman after all

There is also big rumours that Ashley paid off Pardew's gambling debts (they've been mates for years) and so he's paying Pardew only a small wage...

But then his coaching staff have also got 8 year deals too.

Mike Ashley is a shrewd businessman, have you seen how much he is worth? in fact since buying Newcastle he's made even more money, he went up from £1.2 billion to £1.7 billion this year. 4 years ago he was worth a mere £700 million....

Yes it's a headline maker but in reality will mean very little with the termination clause....As has been said it's just to gurantee good compo...How things change, before he went to Newcastle he was a forgotten man.....so well done to him for proving people wrong...
