Team for Saturday .
« on November 29, 2012, 04:18:35 pm by Rovin Reporter »
With what looks like 3 key players missing for Saturday must now pose the headache for Saunders thst he has mentioned all too often with a small squad. He doesn't have too many options open to him and form a decent bench as well . A reply may be good result but I hope our good results and attitude away from home guides us through first time .  :scarf:

I can think of 2 key players missing but can't think of the third one.

Will Griffin & Paynter be fit?

We could be missing quite a few - with Ball and Wakefield cuptied as well I make it we could be missing up to 8 players

He set up the goal at Portsmouth and played more than a large part in the first against Scunthorpe - but dont let facts cloud your prejudice.

Can't understand all these bad feelings towards Martin Woods the guys come back from a career threatening injury for Christ sake. Ill never forget the goal he scored against the scabs at their place we must have strung 20+ passes together before he let fly

I was critical of him when he was played in the centre but when he was moved back to his natural left positional he changed my opinion that he was now being played correctly and upped his and the team game

This. I don't think it's any coincidence that the improved standard of our attacking football, and run of good form, has occurred at the same time as Woods moved out to the left and improved his form.

or you back up your opinion?

The attributes you highlight are CM requirements?

remember dont need to tackle if you dont give the ball away?

Your evidence for that being......

So far this season M Woods has had 8 shots, 5 on target, 3 hit woodwork
he has 2 assists, which is the third best in the club

you may go to all games home and away - but as has been said several times this season we appear to be attracting more than our fair share of muppet fans this season - who go home and away.

Back on topic:

Looks like we will be down to the bare bones. I guess Martis or McCombe will start in defence with Spurr going to left back and Husband wide left.

Gary Woods
Quinn Jones Martis Spurr
Harper Clingan Keegan Husband
Syers Brown

Bench: Maxted, McCombe, Blake, Michael Woods, Paynter  (?) and a couple of youngsters.

Got to go with Blake out wide surely. Looked decent against Crewe.

Yes we lost but we still had 3-4 very good chances. There keeper making a few great saves. One of which was from Blake. He may not get up and down the wing like Cotts, but he is a clever player and will set up chances.

I Think the away game will be a bit more open than the home one,it's whether we can take advantage with key players missing,i personally still think we've got enough to win the game, this is the team i'd go for with the players available

                                                             G.Woods

                                                   Jones                McCombe

                                       Griffin                                         Spurr

                                                Harper  Clingan   Keegan

                                         Syers                                       Husband

                                                          Brown
subs Maxted,Martis,Quinn,Blake,Paynter,a couple of the kids for experience

Not that its any of your buisness, i went out for a few bevvies, why you seem to think i am a juvenile because i dont agree with certain posters on here is beyond me, there is noway i am going to spend my night on here arguing with the likes of norfolk and wilts to name a few, i can see why so many of the regular posters on here dont bother anymore, its supposed to be about opinions and if mine is different to certain people on here it ends up me being called a muppet, idiot and dont know what im talking about. Good morning im just going for a cuppa if thats ok by you draytonian.
