The most common form of cancers at the moment are testicular cancer and prostate cancer (NOT lung cancer) so keep feeling your balls and make sure your pissing freely chaps ! The more recent statistics say you are more likely to die from excess w**king than smoking! PS. Don't be a knob, and choose to smoke as it's not clever. I wished I'd never started !! I would like to emphasise that last comment too even as a smoker . If you're young , think it's clever.........IT'S NOT. Smoking is anti-social does have a knock on effect on your health, ruins your attractiveness to the opposite sex, leaves a nasty smell both on you and others and is bloody expensive.PS. Don't be a knob, and choose to smoke as it's not clever. I wished I'd never started !!

I'm certainly not against those who wish to smoke as that is your choice as it was mine. But there are no positives to doing it whatsoever, and it's a downright bloody awful addiction so what's the point.

So you gave up, good lad, big deal, go on kill yourself with self pity.Congratulations to the club for giving its supporters the choice and by the way I know some who don't come because they can't smoke, they don't go to pubs cause they can't smoke, they prefer to stop at home, listen to Radio Dee Dar on player and smoke and drink and feel happy without giving our club the money they need and deserve.Lets end this now and let everybody have their choice to do what they want within reason. There will always be people against and for any idea put forward.

I'm not a smoker and don't like it. But being anti-smoking for the "huge burden they place on the NHS" is wrong. The tax brought in from smoking far outweighs the cost. If anything, as a country we can't afford to stop smoking.
Thanks Filo. This bloke really got to me with his opinion that he thinks is the be all and end all of a simple human choice.

Even taking in to account fag tax we still still pay millions more treating smoking related illnesses. Why do you think the Department of Health run ad campaigns to stop smoking if the Government doesn't want people to?

I did a study on this at university, admittedly it's now 6 years since I graduated and I don't remember the full details but I've had a quick look around. Admittedly what both these sites offer is fairly anecdotal, but the estimated cost to the NHS was £5bn in 2005-06:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8086142.stmWhereas tax revenue from the smokers has been more than £9bn for over a decade:http://www.the-tma.org.uk/tma-publications-research/facts-figures/tax-revenue-from-tobacco/There are other factors that you could cite - loss of productivity from smoking breaks being an example - that would add to the cost to society of smoking; but when you consider purely the cost to the NHS versus excise duties and VAT smoking earns us more than it costs us!EDIT: There could be any number of reasons why the government will back anti-smoking campaigns - maybe they genuinely care about the health of the nation more than the taxes they bring in, maybe they do it so as to appear to be doing the right thing (South Park did an excellent episode relating to the US's attitude towards war, something about having your cake and eating it too)...
Let's stop talking about the bog smoking as an either/or in this debate. There should be NO smoking in the toilets at the KMS at any time, full stop. It is not a matter of being unpleasant or anti-social, it is illegal - against the law - not permitted by statute. It couldn't be clearer. Stewards and/or police should patrol each and every toilet and nab anyone who is smoking, issuing them with a fixed penalty notice as the legislation permits.Right, beyond this, I simply cannot believe that there is a single Rovers fan who does not come to a game because they cannot go without a cancer tube for 90 minutes. We should not as a club be making it easier for the weak-willed/weak-minded to kill themselves and place a burden on the taxpayer through their self-induced death. The idea of a smoking bubble remains a ridiculous waste of money and frankly an embarrassment for our club which is at the heart of the community and purports to be promoting healthy lifestyles amongst supporters.

Just need someone selling beers outside now.
CBcb,Enough is enough, you've made your point umpteen times in the last few weeks. We know you don't like it, we know you would issue every fan with a fine when caught, that I understand, but there's a limit to how many times you can bang that drum.
