I know that happened back in the day but would that be workable nowadays?

No complaints like, f**k 'em.

No signs of this bad weather going away either. Imagine if both games get called off over Easter.

Latest weather on Sky news says Scunny will get snow on Friday but not Saturday. If they put covers on it should by ok.

Blunts v Brentford looks a no go. They are forecasting ten inches of snow in Sheffield on Saturday. Looks like the Blunts will have to play two midweek games one week because the only midweek they have no game, Brentford are already playing. We have eight games in the last four weeks and they have nine if both are off but at least we have a few midweek slots.

This time last year I went to watch Rovers in a t-shirt, it was about 25 degrees at Southampton.

Out of interest, how would they manage that?

In the Conference this week several teams were scheduled to play Tuesday, then Thursday and then Saturday again. Braintree did play tonight I believe but the other game between Gateshead and Newport was postponed again. That game will now be played at Boston United's ground would you believe.

So it does happen and is happening atm for some unfortunate clubs.

It was white over when I left Cantley, hardly anything in Epworth at present.

Yes, I`ve just come in from doing my School contract and there`s significantly more snow to the west of Doncaster, east of Wheatley and there is hardly any lying snow, if that trend continued Scunny would n`t have any snow at all.

Next to nothing out here.  I work near Leeds so glad I'm working from home today, but if it stays as is our night out in Leeds tonight may yet survive.

I'll speak to my mate Andy who lives in Donny but works in Scunny. He should be able to give us a good update.

However- the latest forecast is for light snow overnight and into tomorrow in the Scunthorpe area. It may be playable today but not tomorrow.

I live in Lincoln which is about 20 miles south of Scunny, it is snowing but its very light and forecast to be the same all day and into tomorrow. It isnt settling as of yet but the temperature is the worry, itis bitterly cold. I fear a frozen pitch rather than lying snow.

This is even more exciting than the ticket thread.

Could the VSC not post a few official snow reps out in the field - one in Epworth, one in Scunthorpe itself, a spotter to the west in Hatfield perhaps....

Very cold in North London and high level snow flurries but nothing settling - im not convinced that this information has any baring on the weather in Scunny though.

It all depends on how much falls tomorrow morning, there is still a good chance this game will be on.

One of my housemates turned the heating off in the night so it is quite cold in my bedroom. That is all I've got for you :)

Racing at Doncaster is on after it passed an inspection but will inspect again tomorrow morning at 6am for tomorrows card - that seems to be when all snow/low temperatures are expected so I guess we'll know when we open the bedroom curtains in the morning whether we'll be going to watch a match or not!

Looking out of the fifth floor office window overlooking the Brayford in Lincoln approximately 30 miles south of Scunthorpe I currently see clouds and general overcast conditions. I'm just about to venture out for a lunch time walk so will report back on the temperature and possible wind factor when I get back. The flags on the barge in the marina are blowing furiously in a south westerly direction.

Make of that what you will.

Does the water in the marina look choppy with all that wind, what are the flags on the barge, are they union flags.  :chair:

There's no lying snow where I am in Donny, just flurries on and off.

Apparently no snow at all out Lincoln way yet either. Hopefully overnight Scunny doesn't take too much hammer from the skies.
