Tom Hateley

He has rejected a contract offer from Motherwell, not sure when his contract is up cos I'm  not an insider like everyone claims to be, but I'm sure he's worth a punt as he is always the first player I sign for Donny on Football Manager & he's always top draw so it must be true...ask Sproty surely he'll back me up on this one ha ha

Dingles are apparently all over the Higdon situation. Would Hateley's wage demands be a realistic target for us?

I would imagine with the crowds Motherwell get he's on about 50 quid a week

Mid field / Right Fullback. Son of Mark, no great shakes. Pin Point accuracy delivery wise from Free Kicks and corners, played 40 games each season up there for last 4 seasons, Started at Reading, then went non league.

Higdon is interesting.
40 goals in 70 odd games.
I'm no lover of Scottish football, in fact I think it's rubbish. But that's a good strike rate in their Premier League

Motherwell average attenance (12/13): 5,097
Doncaster Rovers Average attendance (12/13): 7,239

What would he be on with us then? £75?

Good player, seen him a few times. Think he will go higher than us in the Championship...or Rangers.

I tipped Higdon 3 months ago and got shot down by some of you lot. Being a fan of St Johnston (my second team after Rovers) I have watched him play several times and he would be ideal for us. I will say again well worth a punt as said above.

Tom Hateley....son of Mark. I think this is the first time i am able to say ' i remember his grandad playing'. That was Tony by the way.

I feel like a real old git today.

Hately would be a good signing, especially if Quinny doesn't sign.

Would be a no from me we have Brown and Paynter in a similar mould to him we need younger and pacey with an eye for a goal to go with what we already have upfront.

Hateley is not a great player, not a favourite at Motherwell, he gets a bit of stick from the home support, hits a decent free kick and that's about it !  Not for me please

What is even worse BobG is knowing that you were 12 years old when Tony Hateley made his debut for Notts County.  :headbang: :headbang:
