Butler GK Coach - thank you
« on June 26, 2013, 03:26:10 pm by donnyplant »
Just a small thread to say if Lee has left the club, its a shame that the club haven't posted on DROS an official statement and thank you.

Just as a comeback donnyplant, how much space was taken on this forum last season, with criticism of Mr Woods, who has now left us?

Surely his lack of quality was down to the goalkeeping coach, so why shouldn't he go?  He obviously didn't teach Woods enough for him to stay at the club.

We are now looking for a top class keeper as we only have a 42 year old and an 18 year old to fall back on, we need a quality coach to bring on Maxted in case he is needed during the season.

A small mention on the OS wouldn't go amiss, but as we all know there is no loyalty in our game today.

My problem was not with that of his release, but that of there being no thank you or mention of it on the OS.

He has been here long enough to deserve that.

You can give a kid the best teachers in the world but if he's a thick t**t he's a thick t**t.

If he never had the ability, the coaching at our level was never going to make up for it. SAF doesn't let a good keeper go for nowt.

He wanted out didn't he though? and I meant from the academy, which I should've specified (although there's no doubt going to be an example of one there now I've said that..).

As I posted on a previous thread:

He always showed a lot of passion on the side lines as if he were our manager, always had a smile on his face too.

Thank you, Lee.

And he was popular with the players, which is always a good sign.

Ho goes with my best wishes too.

(and he appeared for DRFC on multiple occasions in the Screwfix 6-a-side matches at Sheffield Arena)
