Let's not over-react - why does everything have to be assumed to be the worst? Wasn't this the player that Dickov was ADAMANT/unequivocal was just to get games during his midweek interview? The same interview where he said Syers was still very much part of his plans. I really don't think everyone should see this as a definite departure. I think this is a drive for match fitness, knowing that suspensions and injuries are likely to be just around the corner.Also, whatever you think about Syers, as a midfielder he's up against Cotterill, Copps, Duffy, Furman, Wellens, and Forrester & De Val when they get fit. Not sure I'd put him ahead of a lot of those people, if any.
