Appantly This Here investment into DRFC
« on October 17, 2013, 06:39:24 pm by not on facebook »
It seems that JR land his good wife like to eat Their fish and chips
In a hyde park chippy

And just as important news on the investment into the Club will
Be released sooner rather Than later according to gange on radio sheff
Tonight

Gange was a rovers fan who walked into the hyde park chippy while JR
Was filling his face

Good lad that Steve, even slipped in a dig at the blades.

No reason not to believe him about JR, not sure why anyone would make that up.

Interesting why JR would be in Donny to be fair given he live's in Berkshire and we are down south at the weekend!?!?

Sounded genuine enough although Dick and certainly Brammall aren't from Donny!

C'mon Norfolk get your facts straight!

JR lives in Cheshire, Dick lives in Tickhill and TB in Harrogate. Both TB and DW had their business interests in Doncaster employing local people.

there have only been one million posts on here refering to TB and DW as Donny people so a bit early to expect all but the regular readers to have picked up on it yet.

Can't see him flitting from his mansion in Cheshire , there wouldn't be room in Berkshire for his trainset!

I thought it was common knowledge that JR loves his fish n chips from Hyde Park and often calls in on his visits to Donny.

Interesting that the caller, Steve, was just relaying the news from JR that 'something will be happening soon' but then went on to say that he would not welcome the Sequentia deal and wants us to remain in local businessmen's hands.

Whatever 'something' is, we have no idea but I guess we'll get to know in time. Meanwhile, we're back on the road on Saturday with 3 points up for grabs. All we can do is concentrate on the football.

Apparently, English fans rubbing Brazil nuts contributed to our qualification for the World Cup, so may be the best we can do is suck on a Butterscotch in the run up to the game on Saturday !!  Any other suggestions??

Terry Bramall is from Donny, his father started Bramall construction in the 1930's and it was based in Wath. He used to live in the house with the tennis court as you go into sprotborough from cusworth when i was a kid and i went to school with his daughter.

I'm not sure if Bramall lived in the house Adrian Welch lives in now, he might have done. I thought he lived in the park at Sprotbrough. I think he started out in Cadeby. Anyway he is certainly a Donny bloke.

Drove through Edlo yesterday due to A1 problems and people were queuing out the door at a new chippy there - either good, cheap or a front for something else

JR certainly likes his fish and chips. I recall chatting with him and Stuart Highfield outside a fish shop just by Leigh RMI's Hilton Park ground many moons ago. JR was having a particularly fine rant about an incompetent referee. Plus ca change...

For many years the best fish and chips were at Newton's on Montrose Avenue in Intake.
