Has a wand for a left peg, except strangely when taking free kicks (which always ended up in row Z). As superspy said, never ever let him near centre midfield or feed him after midnight.
He can still pick out a pass others dream about.

Joking aside. How much better is our starting 11 than theirs? Can't think of more than 1 or 2 that might get in our side.
He'll work out fine at Barnsley as long as they play to his strengths. He's mde for a central midfield role, orchestrating play. They should ensure they get the ball to him quickly & often. He's a dead ball specialist.

I can't remember him scoring a single free kick for us despite hundreds of attempts. One penalty against Spurs more than evened out by his blazer into the Tyne against Newcastle, and an excellent pass/cross every now and then. "It's in Woods territory" became a laughable quote in the stands.I agree somewhat with the rest of your post mind, he can be an asset when played correctly in a creative, ball-playing way but I fear the injuries have stamped out the best years of his career.
