Where are they now

Interesting reading some posts a few days ago (and now with signatures thread) mentioning former players
Often wonder what happened to our former players the likes of Mike Elwis,big Brendan, Paul Gilchrist, Archie Irvine etc

A mate at work knew dean barrick as they were from the same village of Hemsworth.
apparently working in Thailand and now Poland in some sort of coaching role

Mike Elwiss was managing a dairy at garstang, near Preston

Tim Ryan and Andy Warrington were assistant manager and 'keeper respectively at Buxton the last time I heard.

Saw Ricky Ravenhill getting involved on the outdoor pitches at the KM recently, in between getting sent off for Northampton Town 

And the lesser known ex-Rovers Ryan Burge and Harry Worley are at Newport County.

Paul Gilchrist , after finishing playing at Hereford , ran a fitness club in Swindon before going to work for BMW as a senior advisor

Mike Elwiss became a football agent and his daughter Hannah represented England at both hockey and hurdling

Seem to remember that there is Where are they site on tinternet , covering all English League clubs and entries are made by supporters

I recently did research into where our 1999-2000 team is now and what they did after playing for the Rovers. And am almost finished with another season.
If anyone is interested I can post a link if I am allowed.

Ah, it was the Three Horseshoes then. I drove past that pub a few times when I was in Cambridge in 1986-87. I'm sure Graham would have been the landlord then. Pity I never popped in for a drink. I remember him when he was in his second spell with Rovers and I also recall him playing against us for Cambridge United.

1999/2000 was my first season supporting Rovers so it was great to read up on what became of our entire squad from that season. I still remember almost every one of those players (Andy Futcher, Martin Foster and Jason Minett I havenot thought about probably since they were here mind) and it was nice to see where they all are now. Well done for managing to collate all of this information!
