Looked pathetic to me, why after Wednesday fans were being shown the door some of our fools wanted to safely abuse them from the walkway I don't know. Oh sorry it was because it was safely. Made themselves look idiots.

From what I saw there were none (feel free to correct me) just a load of fake fred perry/stone island/burberry wannabees[/
Quote from: Padge_DRFC on March 22, 2014, 06:58:19 pmI love how everyone is blaming the lads and kids who gave it back to the wendie fans acting like kitsons in the home end. Drfc are the ones at fault willy nilly flogging tickets to Wednesday fans knowingly. But I suppose it's the Rovers way to moan about our own fans. Next time we play Leeds and Wednesday lets leave their fans to do what they want in our end. Another thing I don't have sympathy for anyone who brings having a kid with thrm into it. As like every other game the family stand is never full. If you dont want your child to witness things like this or hear foul language there is designated stand for this.I agree with you in respect of foul language, but not violence and/or people generally acting like t**ts. Funnily enough it was those who were moved out of the west stand due to singing section closing who were hell bent on causing trouble in the South.

I was disappointed that I had to move my 7 year old niece in the first half because of a group of morons who were trying to pretend they were 'hard'. I generally don't care what people get up to inside and outside of the ground but when their are kids around, it's not big nor clever.
Leeds fans were in there too. Crikey. No wonder it was kicking off.

Think they intervened but neither got off their horse.Sounds all imitation '70's' stuff, good job some of these weren't around then. They wouldn't have lasted 2 minutes in those days. There is no history of trouble between our clubs (apart from the fact that nowadays we beat them) so why are the Wendies trying to create one ? Perhaps they miss the Blades.

The vast majority of them came from the South to the West.

I remember somebody making a point after the Chester play off game which after ten years I still can't make my mind up if I agree with. Some of our fans and their vehicles got a bit of a kicking during the league game there. The presence of "the DDR" during the play off game meant that the normal Rovers fans didn't have the same problems. As someone who has on occassion sat in home ends I've never cheered when Rovers have scored or made it obvious who I was and 90% of us are normal enough to accept away fans in the home end if they keep their heads down. Maybe Leeds and SheffW have seen us as a particularly soft touch and might not take the piss from now on if they know they're not just going to get left to it or at worst escorted into an already full away end (safety certificate anyone???)
Anyone see the nasty incident on that patch of ground used as a cut through to the Premier Inn car park? Looked like a rovers fan was getting a kicking but there was a Wendy with his nose all over his face. Not sure who had smacked who first there.

I was sat in the west stand with my 2 mates, one of whom is a big Wednesday fan, sat there having a laugh not causing a scene and behaving himself, most importantly not making it known he was an owls fan, if they could all show that kind of respect for being in the home end for me there wouldn't be a problem! After the game I thanked him for the 3 points, his £25 and the £10 he spent in the concourse! Not heared much from him since mind!
Hoopla hoop I wish to correct you that there is no history of trouble between us and Wednesday . Apart from 70s league cup ties where they took over and bullied, have you forgot the 2004 pre season friendly . This led to the league game at belle vue being a 12 noon Sunday game if I remember correctly .
Please note this thread was not intended to glamourise the knobhead brigade but purely to mention the actions of some scum
Perhaps it's lack of contact between the clubs when I was a lad but back in the 80's I can't remember the Wendies having so many vile fans as they do now, they always seemed one of the "nicer" sets of supporters. Sign of the times?
