Just a thought. My take is that TB is giving them until July 18 to raise x amount of funds and meet certain criteria regarding future funding and then the sale will go through or won't.

I don't really understand the reasons behind the delay until July 18th, but I don't think that the sale won't go through or that TB will come back.

I do think there are probably other investors waiting in the wings though.

Here's a thought. If you were trying to convince external investors to join the team you might try telling them that the club will be transformed by having a 10m strong fan base. If I were an external investor, I'd want some proof that this could be monetised. What better way than to set up a crowd funding trust? When this brings in the money and shows the potential of the new fan base, the other investors have their evidence.

Total speculation, I agree.

Well b*llocks to you then. YOU tell us what's going on. I'm going back to bed.

Strikes me as good a theory as any. I did also wonder if the 18th July date might be to allow time for JR and LT to acquire the remainder of the shares. Before they bring the additional "investors" on board they may want or need to control 100% of Patienceform.

In my scenario, other investors come in on 18 July if they are sufficiently impressed with the financial aspect of the 1-D fans' support.

As I say, it is as good a theory as any I've heard. And Yargo is right- the "ITK" brigade have gone very quiet since the deal has been done.

Just had a look at some of the comments on the crowdfunding website.

This one is rather poignant.

And this one had me in stitches.

That last one...I don't think you can comment on the site unless you've donated, so this one has given money but hasn't a clue what for!

So someone could theoretically top it up to the target to get the pledges then take their top up back out and get what has been pledged when in reality the fund failed?

They would be burning money though wouldn't they because they would have to pay VAT and fees on it.

I suspect you are right about both the blades and the crowd funding

I suspect you I'll be right on both counts wing commander. ;) I'm not putting the money in that's for sure !
If I had the sort of money all these directors had , we wouldn't be in the bloody mess we're in now. I would have had none of this bother,.......it' s ridiculous

gazlad....There wouldn't be any vat on it...And I doubt any fee's either...the individual putting it in would be different to the one taking it out I'm sure....

I'm baffled SM, are you suggesting that DRFC are responsible for her self harming?

Even if it does not make the 2mill and they have to top it up, it makes it pretty cheap world advertising so it would be a success.

Think the world's about to end.  Someone at the Free Press has found some balls and printed something not entirely positive about the takeover... (I was going to say negative, but it does look like it's been re-written and edited a number of times to tone it down!)

I've no idea what JRs legal team are up to but I'm interested what SM thinks is immoral.
