Does that mean he knows he'd be number 2 keeper and he wants to be number 1? Has Turnbull committed?

Possibly, although I can't believe he's going unless he's got an offer from another club. Maybe a League Two side willing to make him first choice.

This is very frustrating! If we can't keep hold of Maxted what chance do we have of keeping Turnbull?

Walsall could be a good shout, can't see him joining a team better than us think he must be looking to go to a team where he might have a chance of getting a few games.

It maybe because he's been told he's got no chance of been number 1 and wants to go somewhere to try and further his career it's completely different to Turnbull scenario who would be guaranteed number 1 spot.

Do you really consider him good enough for us? If yes then fair enough. If no then I am sure he can be replaced. He obviously doesn't think he will be 1st choice next season so time to move on.

I don't think he was ever realistically going to be our number 1, not unless we dropped to League Two.

Actually, you could be right. I can't see him being first choice at Birmingham, even though most of their signings are uninspiring for a Championship side.

Totally agree. Better to be 2nd choice somewhere than have no club at all.

I hope he's got something, at least, in the pipeline and wish him all the best.

He's only I child. Better chance of getting a loan than getting a club as first choice. He will go to a worse club as number 2 and wish he hadn't.

To me this just shows that PD must have at least 2 other 'keepers of more experience in the pipeline one of whom will be Turnbull.

We were in the same position at the start of last season weren't we, and we ended up with 2 of the better 'keepers in the division, notwithstanding relegation.
