Good read with lots of interesting data.
Dickov doesn't seem to have a trend when it comes to making subs but SOD did use to make late substituitions a lot, wonder if we would have gotten back in games more if he'd changed his approach

Good read
The lower down the leagues you go the more it will change from that Prem picture with the effect of smaller squads of first team players. Haven't got time right now to analyse Dickovs tactics statistically, but like you say, he varies it a lot.
It makes sense to me to make an early change if the set up clearly isn't working when there is a good alternative on the bench who is only marginally outside first 11 consideration. This season our midfield is where the options are for that, but Dickov still tends to stick with the initial 11 he chooses.
In that article Mourinho says how he sniffs out the need for a change, others are more systematic. I don't see Dickov as a "sniffer".

Well we are heading into the colder months so hopefully that will change. There have been a few times where he should have been pragmatic and perhaps had a better outcome in result, but he hasn't. De Val for Keegan Vs Crawley is the perfect, recent example.
A good read though. Thanks D2D
