From where do you travel to watch Rovers?
« on January 20, 2015, 01:37:54 pm by graingrover »
I have always smiled to myself listening to commentators saying before an away match "and there are X number of fans have travelled  up ( or down) from South Yorkshire for this game in Bristol, London ,Nottingham .. etc etc . The people I see at matches home and away live in , Cambridge , Skipton , Burnley and myself in Brussels . I wonder what % of our fan base are exiles .. or live more than 50 miles from Donny.   Our new Marketing Manager lives in Kent !
Are you like me ... absence from Donny makes my heart for Rovers grow fonder?

75 miles or so down the A1 for me, just close enough to attend evening fixtures after I finish work.

About 43 miles from my house if I don't pick anybody up to come with me.
I have the pleasure of passing Elland Road on the M621 both ways as well. Always a better journey when we win.  :scarf:

Travel from Leeds city centre, occasionally we get back home before my mum who lives in Carcroft does if she parks at the stadium!

Coventry, almost exactly 100 miles door to door (or door to turnstile rather). In fact, need to be on the road in a couple of  hours

Bentley! It sometimes seems the longest 4 miles imaginable when we're playing crap, but hey, true fans like me put up with all the travelling.

I must admit though that it's a bit of a culture shock seeing other areas of Donny, It's a right dump compared to Bentley. Don't want to sound snobby like.

Salford... M62 will be fun tonight if the snow is as bad as they're forecasting.

North East London – 360 mile round trip. Just leaving work to head up for tonight. Cheating though as I'm crashing at my mums and returning tomorrow morning.
