It would help if they played football and not skyball though. Man U don't look as if they would cope that well if a team went at them with better possession and some creativity

Seem to remember Bennett having a goal ruled out this season in similar circumstances to Man U's equaliser...

For me Rooney was n't interferring with play, he was n't blocking the keepers view at all. had it gone the other side of Rooney the keeper had a case

The ref was okay with our goal, it was the linesman that cancelled that goal.
United have just scored

Not really, the keeper could see the ball all the way

And if the big clubs get the decisions Kevin Davies should be taking a bath now, on a yellow and commits another yellow card tackle a couple of minutes ago

Blame ME

I wont watch any game which "they" might win so was watching summat else when I read PNE were 1 up on here

Suddenly sensing an upset and hoping the final whistle had already gone I turned another telly on just as that fat git let the ball go passed into the net. I have turned off again and wont be watching them v Bradford City either (stitched on)

I did laugh at the celebrations rendered for an equaliser against a team 2 divisions lower in a Competition they formerly demeaned by not even entering though

Less to do with blocking his view, and more to do with the keeper very clearly positioning himself ready for the deflection off Rooney. If he hadn't had to do that he'd have saved the shot I reckon. For me that's interfering but once again it's all about how you interpret the rule.

Davies should've walked though.

Rooney was stood in an offside position by about 2 yards, the keeper knew that hence the reason he complained straight away, why would he worry about a deflection off Rooney when he knew the goal would n't stand if he touched it?

Snap decisions mate. Training kicks in and you don't always have time to think of the nuances of the offside rule.

Sorry but that is offside.  Time the rule was changed back again.

Did Rooney dive or was he jumping away from the challenge?  I'm pretty sure the rules on what constitutes a foul use the terms "trip or attempt to trip, kick or attempt to kick" etc.  The main point I make being "attempt to", ie there can be a foul without significant contact.

It is long overdue for reform along with the stupid back pass rule.

Also put a Ref in each half - and PLAY 90 minutes then the back pass / time wasting becomes a thing of the past apart from going to Corner Flag etc but at least the ball is in play then and the opposition have a chance to "get it".

If a keeper like Roy Carroll takes forever to take a goal kick the opposition can do nothing except moan to a Ref

I think it says "in line of vision"
Tyson dive ? Sceaming for Pen? You obviously don't know me if you think I'd be screaming

Round off the corners with a 10 yard radius quadrant, eliminate corner kicks and institute throw ins from wherever the ball goes out.

And, for safety reasons with heading causing brain damage, it's time to change the ball to one of those lightweight placcy ones that also means more skills with wibbly wobbly curlers for any shot over 10 yards. The time is nigh!

Wonder what the video panel would make of the keeper sliding in feet first and nowhere near the ball?

Yep I  agree...I thought the first goal was offside..its a grey area but how that's not interfering with play I don't know..As for the penalty I don't see what the fuss is about..It's not upto rooney to jump over tackles..The keeper made it easy with his lunge..penalty all day long for me..
