10 FACTS

1/ PD, You here all kinds of posts on here on how poor the manager is, True he’s not for this club, he cannot keep hold of our best potential players, and the ones he does keep hold of are all the wrong ones. He never seems to know what formation to play, No plan A, never mind plan B. To date he has only managed to bring in 2 decent payer, our German goal keeper & Williams. Sorry Paul you need to walk., Soon please.

2/ MIDFIELD, Our midfield is diabolical, always been the same under PD, Take last nights midfield, we had 3 experienced players in there, when combined have played over 1400 games and scored a total of 126, That is a average of 1 goal in every 11 games, We need better players to feed our strikers.

3/ EXPERIENCE??  To many over the hill players in the team, Sorry but, we have too many players in who 6 years ago were great at this level, but if today we were to release the likes of Copps, Wellens, Jones to name just a few, they would be applying their trade in non-league football.

4/ YOUTH PLAYERS, To many youth team players in the squad, who some people seem to think we have some potential stars, We haven’t, just average players at best.

5/ STRIKERS, Only 1 good striker in Williams, People rave about Tyson, but sorry not good enough to be in this league. Main, well what can I say, I really do think he could become a good player, but not under PD.

6/ THE BOARD, Just keep kidding all us supporters on about the budget, plans for the club, In truth they are happy for us to be at this level and don’t seem to want to invest in the club, to get us up one level. So we can only hope one day we either get someone on the board that wants to believe in the club and that will invest, Or the board sells.

7/ SQUAD, Not big enough, 6 games in and we have more players out injured than games played, this will reflect on the upcoming league games, it simply is asking for trouble with the squad we have, look at last nights bench, all L1 one clubs wont be fearing that. NOT

8/ DEFENCE, A positive note here, with a few tweaks and a proper RB in, we have the making of a solid back 5, but once again get any injuries, especially to the big German and we are in trouble.

9/ FANS, Its unbelievable to read some of the posts on this forum, you moan more that the wife, stupid comments from life long supporters who are willing, to just pack in supporting the club over a few bad results, the manager, players and board are only here short term, us FANS are here for the long haul, That is all True supporters. Lets stop all the negatives, and support the club with what we have, We have gone through the bad times and the good times, but one thing for sure we should all be ROVERS TILL I DIE

Unfortunately their money also financed the 'experiment' debacle, which goes a long way to explaining the current attitude and approach to building a club rather than throwing money in its direction.

I'm not sure I agree that 6 is a fact. I am speculating here, but I would guess our budget is higher than at least half the clubs in League One. Yet we are consistently out -performed by teams with lower budgets. Last Saturday being a case in point.

Yes, I do sometimes wonder if the owners and Baldwin help themselves by not being more  "hands on" and media friendly, although they would probably end up being accused of meddling in the football side.

Anyway, there's a golden opportunity to ask them about things like this a week tomorrow. Any volunteers?

Doesn't matter how much money they throw at the club, Dickov isn't good enough. Everyone can see that, so why can't they? They have to be clueless if they are providing the funds.

Just because they are not in the media washing dirty linen in public doesn't mean they don't understand the game, the finances, the fans and what's best for the club.

We all have the opportunity to ask questions next week and I for one don't think they'll duck a difficult situation or questions likely to be asked.

I must have used "6" as the number 6 appears in the statement at point  7.

The squad is not big enough, now that we have 4 fresh injuries in the last week or so.

Macheda kept Birmingham up. Dickov just doesn't know how to use quality strikers. Uche was fantastic against us for Crewe and on his debut against Chesterfield. Then when Dickov got him in training he was horrendous. Uche then leaves and completely tears us apart last week

He has signed good players there shouldn't be any doubting that, he's had some poor ones but so does every manager, even sod, even fergie, even mourinho.
But the players he's signed in general have been good signings,
Even this year they have been good, we just haven't signed enough

Agreed - good players signed across all of his reign - but he and his staff can't get them playing together to their abilities or strengths! Am sure there's someone with a good memory that can list his signings! There are lots of good ones (and a few duffs amongst them too as dickos has said!)

That said however - pretty much all of the duffs (Maybe Duffy excepted - but he looked good at Scunnt before his arrival here) have looked a  better fit and more effective playing for their new or old teams than they did for us!
