Personally - accept it and get rid - great player as he has been over the years IMO he's now a spent force and spends too long bitching at everyone else for not doing his job for him!

On it and playing well - sublime - those days are unfortunately behind him now!

I've got a feeling Portsmouth will be after him

He won't be in the first team ever again. Reserves at the best.

Portsmouth love nothing more than a Rovers player as has been said. He wanted away the last time. Maybe it's time to go, he won't get a better club imo.

If a player doesn't want to play for the club, let him go.

It is irrelevant who the manager is.

We won today.  A lifeline for Dickov.  He'll do well again by getting players in this coming week..

I said last season that his legs had gone. Too immobile and slowed the pace of the game down.

If the rumours are true, f**k him, Billy big b*llocks, whatever your opinion of the manager, no pro player should disrespect that position!

Bury are buying every available players, perhaps Wellens wants to play in the bright lights of Bury town.

Gravesend & Northfleet  would be a "more down to earth " choice
Now Ebbsfleet Utd, they pay decent wages Danny Kedwell went there from Gillingham last year/season.

If the rumours are true, f*** him, Billy big b*llocks, whatever your opinion of the manager, no pro player should disrespect that position!

But if rumours at the training ground are true it appears the transfer imposed not requested.

Which ever way, I'm not bothered, he appears to be a bad apple, he's had a pop at both Tyson and Evina after both cup games, Billy big b*llocks that blames everyone and anyone for his mistakes

It's a tricky one this. Don't really know what's happened but should never disrespect the manager.

But on the other hand it's worrying that players don't perhaps want the manager either.

That's rubbish, regardless of if a player doesn't like the manager.
They should never let the fans and their team mates down like that.

I think it works in Dickovs favour. Wellens is obviously big ego and has been put  in his place, the players will take note.

Could he have been the negative force which has held us back?
He's always strolled around looking like a bear with a sore arse.
And f**k him anyway, he wouldn't sign my little lads programme, didn't even look at him.

again if it is true something as gone off big style, not many players ask for a transfer from rovers, they may have left when contract runs out or even have a clause in the contract which allows them to leave after a relegation but to ask for a transfer probably means hes been made an offer somewhere and the club have said no,or theres been trouble in the camp

Could he be going to FC Salford, close to home run by those he use to train with. Less of a drive for him!

Why would we say no? The guy performs like a pensioner most weeks anyway.

If he's put in a request then I'm guessing he has some interest in him.

That's what I thought as well

There is no truth in the rumours Wellens has fallen out with Paul Dickov #drfc #starlive

Richie Wellens NOT transfer listed but is talking to another club about a move #drfc #starlive

No fall out then.

I think this is good for the team though.

It's important we replace him with someone who can create chances

Could be a good move all round. Get him off the wage bill and can get another couple in at least.

Exactly what I'd expect a mature, professional manager to say, regardless of what hissy fits may or may not have gone on in the background.

We have needed a player in centre midfield all season some one with strength and pace and replace PK. If Richie goes then we need another player with more creativity.

This will allow Chaplow to play either wide or behind a striker were I believe he will be more effective.

Indeed I have my doubts that's the truth to be honest.

It's a good day...We've won and finally a player who moans at everybody while contributing nothing has been stood up to..A great player in his day at this level but what he gives us these days is far outweighed by somebody else having to cover him...Free transfer before deadline and let him moan at somebody else...
