I have been having nightmares after seeing names like Megson, Clough and Pearce.

You've gone and topped it with Westley.....can you imagine that??

Holloway is a complete media whore, absolute attention seeker of the highest order.

I cant stand him and his 'jokes'.

Please not Holloway.

At least Holloway would be entertaining even if the football wasn't. :chair:

Please for f**k sake not the fat Kitson down the road, either. Or Danny Wilson.

In fact, the more I think of it, the more I'm convinced Wilson is nailed on...

YOu forget, sometimes, just how much shite there is out there. What an awful list of horrors! And as Red said, there are still others to add to it.

NOTA for me.

Go for somebody new, that's a tired list of failures, Holloway isn't the same manager, it doesn't have to be a big name, just the right man, who knows it might be Rob Jones.

Someone who has managed local recently.

Stuart Gray wouldn't be a bad choice.

Some of these people are out of work because they're crap. If they were good they'd be in a job.
Some more stupid suggestions.  Glen Hoddle, Sven, Klopp, my missus, Alex Ferguson or Louis Tomlinson he's taking a year out.

I really don't get football management. Ex players go into management at the end if their careers. (I'm not knocking that.). Some are really good. Others are awful but flit from one job to another. They get linked with every vacancy and eventually end up as pub landlords or pundits on TV stating the obvious

Please move on from the usual lists of losers and look at people who can motivate with a decent track record. I have no suggestions to be honest but I hope it's not another failed manager in the revolving door of nepotism

On a serious note let's hope that this appointment is sorted quickly so that the new manager can enter the loan market if he wZnts to. Let's hope it doesn't drag on until the day before the end if it

I think that they've probably got someone in mind. Although people slag TB and DW you're not as successful as them if you're a numpty

Clough had a win ratio of over 47% at Sheff Utd. Nothing wrong with that

After all the stick PD had for berating fourth officials, this forum would go in to meltdown if Clough got the job.

Well, I for one would be quite happy if Clough got the job. But that's just my opinion. As long as it's not the fat ******* from just down the road 😅😅
ps. I don't think Clough will get/want the job

Nicky Butt would be a good choice but tempting him away from his job at Manchester United would be difficult.

If we're chucking the names of ex-players around how about Gary Brabin? did a half-decent job at Cambridge a few years back.

Alan Irvine, Billy Davies & Steve Kean in that list of 'linked' managers.  I'm not sure who has linked them but I haven't seen their names mentioned on here (I might have missed them) and they would be decent shouts at this level, I would have thought.
