THE HOWARD is straight opposite the station. not bad and my (ex student) son says food not bad either, did not kill him in three years. If I am wrong then I apologise on behalf of Sheffield Hallam University 2012 -15
1 You just HAVE to start any trip to or round Sheffield in Sheffield Tap but note you wont get in in Football Colours. This applies to whoever you support. There are Doormen at busy times on any day and they are certain to be there on Saturday2 Next The Howard in Howard Street as already advertised on earlier post. This is 200 yards away max3 Next The Globe which is in Howard Street and a further 50 yards uphill opposite The HowardThat's the first 3 if you have no Colours on !If you are a Real Ale fan here is a useful Map / Link which roughly shows such Pubs between Station and The Ground***. Move the map up/down/left/right and many many decent Pubs including the Wetherspoon ones come into view. ***You will need to click View on Map at the Top centre to get the original viewhttp://whatpub.com/search?q=Lord+Nelson%2C+Sheffield&lat=53.3753&lng=-1.4703&features=Open%2CPub%2CRealAle&r=10&t=d&p=1
I would avoid the Howard and Globe and head for the Rutland instead if you want decent beer.
