He was given more time than most to prove himself and in the end he didn't. The Rovers took far to long to get rid of him!

To be fair he might be right,he never had decent funds to keep us up and I've never been convinced that he budget was as good as some people thought this or last year, saying that he was to negative and u can already see a difference under df

I think he did have a budget that was good enough to achieve the goals he was set, but he just failed to achieve those goals. I also don't think Darren Ferguson would've become our manager if he didn't have a budget capable of achieving promotion from this league.

It's when you have to l introduce yourself to someone who doesn't know your past that your strengths and weaknesses of character really come to the fore . You disappoint PD by that explanation of 'your' past .

Last seasons budget was a lot worse than this seasons and we were up in 6th spot at one stage. Managers live and die by there signings and he brought in a few moderate ones in the summer.

I know nothing but I imagine he was very close to JR and Louis Tomlinson during their pathetic takeover attempt. Paul Dickov has been seen in public with LT and LT also spat his dummy out on Twitter when Dickov was correctly dismissed.

Proof, as if proof were needed, that Dickov was JR's appointment. No wonder the Board took their time appointing his successor.

And if I was Chairman we wouldn't have seen eye to eye given the position we were in and the dross that was being served up.
