Has this Auction ended already ?

Just wondering because as its a Charity gig if 10 of us on here could bid collectively say £25 each ? Then we get in (in style) and get to watch a game with a 2 Course Meal for free in effect !!

No it's not finished John but I think it will probably take more than £250 to win it. I would be in too.

Isn't the usual price something like £1,500 + vat ?

You're probably right - I attended a charity ball in the NE where a box at Hartlepool worth £250 was up for auction - it ended up going for around £800 and was for a specific match.

I hope it does - it's mine! Don't suppose it will, esp if you buggers get 10 to split it! Trying to get it for my mums birthday as she loved it last year with 5 of us in the restaurant. Good luck anyway to whoever gets it, but it will take more than 10 at £25 as I'm willing to pay more than that and I'm surely not the only one.

Maybe if anyone wants to go halves though???

Do you mean you put in (say) £300 and get 5 places and another 5 people put in £60 each and so generate a potential bid of £600 ....

... and then bid as / when needed up to the £600 ?

If we get the right amount of people - ten- we can put in a "split bid" for the Exec Box as above. At the moment the following have agreed to be in @ £25

DW
Stockton Rover
Hoolahoop
I_atealthepies

...so if anyone else fancies it please "quote" the above list and add your name to it and as it is unlikely we will get the Box for £250 then please PM me with the amount you would go up to (and then that way we will keep LincsRover guessing lol

Is there a difference between a snowball auction and a normal auction?

the snowball is just a name of the event that was at the ywp, so its just like a normal auction.

Yes, that would probably work but someone (say, me) would have to pay £600 up front and then collect £60 from each of the others - personally would prefer 1 person coordinating the other £300 as it might be easier to collect £300 from 1 person rather than £60 from 5. I'm sort of hoping one of my mates is willing to go halves but if not, depending on how much it gets to, I might look to split it. Will keep you informed DW.
