Winning mentality
« on November 14, 2015, 04:54:53 pm by les@donr »
It's clear that Fergie has instilled a winning mentality into all the Rovers, most of whom didn't perform to their best under PD. If we go on to beat Rochdale next Saturday, teams will begin to fear playing us.

Another two very winnable home games now where we can really climb up the table just before entering the christmas period.

Also a second consecutive clean sheet in the League after 10 league matches without one

The best method of defence is to attack?

I know we're all 'looking up' now but always fun to take an occasional look down to see how the dingles are doing.

Careful, we were there not too long ago.

Is it just coincidence that since wellens has been dropped to the bench,  our midfield has had more urgency thus leading to a quicker more direct style of play.. granted,  we had two poor away games, but still 4 wins out of 6 is a great start to fergie Jr's tenure..

It's just enjoyable to watch again, even the loss at Millwall was better than most of the dross of last season

One of the amazing things today was really the strength of our bench - Marosi, Wellens, N'Guessan, Forrester ,Stewart, Anderson, Alcock.

Swear we only recorded back-to-back wins about 3 times under Dickov, we've done it after a few games under Fergie. I LOVE YOU FERGIE.

Loanees- I think we will extend Anderson, Grant and Alcock for the rest of the season. We may even sign Alcock. Mattioni will go back to Everton. Stewart - I'm not sure.

I get the impression that Stewart wants to be here but doesn't really fit into the manager's plans.

Maybe Wellens and Forrester will be sold in January, and with the money buy some of the Loanees or another player that Fergie wants to bring in.

Not sure that "sold" is a possibility with Wellens.

I think Rovers will need to pay up his contract, or release him if another club will pick up his wages.
There again, if he gets back in and earns his corn, we will have budgeted to keep him until the summer.

It all depends if DF feels the need to make further changes in January.
Wellens and Forrester are probably on good money, so if they left it would free up some resources for new recruits.

Massively impressed with Ferguson so far. He's found a balance and it's great to actually see the team doing what he has talked about. Cannot fault that. It's fun to watch us and that the key thing.

Despite tricky conditions we passed it superbly yesterday.  Middleton in midfield was good at playing simple and allowed others to play.  Good to see.

I have a feeling Forrester and Wellens will go in January. I also think at least one striker will go- not Tyson or Williams, obviously.

Defo have a feeling a good 3-4 will move on. As already suggested by others, you fancy Harry, Wellens, Main will be on the list.

We've won three games in a row against three very poor teams. Not sure you can class that as a winning mentality, we've just improved as a football team. We will see if we have a winning mentality when we pull results out when we are second best against teams.
