As I only started following Rovers in the 90's I'd say Steve Nicol, he was knocking on but was head & shoulders above anybody I've seen at that level calm & collective with a footballing brain. (Question for Dutch Uncle: Is Nicol the most decorated player to play for Rovers?) My all time cult hero though would have to be the Afro Goal machine, not blessed with the most natural ability but always wore the shirt with pride.

Ian Snodin. With him in midfield we would walk this league or Alick Jeffrey would also be brilliant but we would also have to bring back Albert (Yogi) Broadbent to supply him the the passes.
