Question;

If you wanted to kick BST up the arse, would you let BobG climb out of it first, or would you kill two birds with one stone?

You should always throw caution to the wind and try to win every match, regardless of circumstances.

Do you mean Darren Ferguson style?

Free transfers since we got back into the League include.

Rob Jones
Chris Brown
Richie Wellens (twice)
Paul Green
David Cotterill
Billy Paynter
John Oster
Neil Sulivan
Andy Williams

Money signings include
Sean Thornton
Theo Robinson
Byron Webster
Harry Forrester

Just saying, like.

He's one of the reasons we got back in the league , unless I'm mistaken

Let's face it if we had gone on to get promoted this season how many of our current squad would have been good enough to keep us their.
The only ones worth keeping would have been
Stuckman, Coppinger, Keegan, Williams and due to their ages I would say Evina, Lund, Middleton, and Mandeville.
So we would have needed 14 new signings just to take the squad size to 22
So in hindsight getting promoted this season would be one season too early as DF would not have been able to unload some of the players due to contracts extending into next season.

WE WOULD HAVE HAD AN EXTRA £6M THRUST UPON US TO HELP THOUGH.

To be fair, we've been shite at home all season and very good away, it's just unfortunate we've had 3 home games on the bounce
We will probably beat Barnsley

We've won 4 games out of 14 away from home and 5 out of 16 at home. I'd say we've been just as shite away from home as we have at home. Unless I'm missing something somewhere

Under ferguson
Away
Played 9
Won 4
Drawn 3
Lost 2
Points 15
Unbeaten in 4 months

Home
Played 9
Won 3
Drawn 1
Lost 5
Points 10
Lost the last 3 games

There's no way anybody of a right mind can suggest our away form is just the same as our home

To add to this
After fergusons first week in charge we have been unbeaten away from home
Played 6
Won 3
Drawn 3
12 points
That's title winning form, our home form is relegation form

Your original post was referencing all season form, not under Ferguson

I've said numerous times what happened before ferguson came in is totally and utterly irrelevant, under ferguson our away form has been promotion form,
Therefore it's been unfortunate our last 3 games have been at home, if we maintain our away form we will finish comfortably inside the top 10

It's not irrelevant at all. You said we've been very good away from home. We haven't, we've been just as crap away from home as we have at home. 20 points from 16 games at home, 16 points from 14 games away from home.
Now far be it from me to argue for the sake of arguing, but tell me what is good about our home, or away form. The league table doesn't lie. We are where we are on merit, or put it another way, because we have been poor all season. Things have improved since Ferguson came in. Let's face it, they could hardly have got any worse. However, I think a couple of the loan signings he has made have been mistakes.

Hopefully we can afford to clear out some dead wood in the summer. It will cost money as a lot of the rubbish we have is still under contract. It will be interesting to see if we can afford to pay up contracts AND bring in decent new players. One thing is for sure, the majority of the players we have are not good enough and need to be gone

Why is what happened under another manager relevant to now?
We're unbeaten away from home in 4 months, since ferguson came our away form is promotion form,
Not sure why u keep going on about stuff that ferguson had no influence on

Irrespective of when you get it, you still get it.
Also, the revenue from "away end" tickets is around £1m per season, not including pies and pints etc.

Having promotion away form isn't likely to improve home gates.
I've been doing a 90 mile round trip since 1978.
Petrol has gone through the roof since then and I'm now in my late sixties.
Do I feel like renewing my season ticket driving mostly on my own every week next season?  Sorry, No.
I don't expect to win or play well every week but watching since 1958 I now enjoy very few home games. Value for money? I don't think so.

I never suggested having promotion away form would increase home gates mate
If I still lived in Bradford you could've grabbed a lift with me, moved to Leeds now though unfortunately

I got home at 6 on Saturday absolutely flat.
Ruined my night, it isn't right on the wife and the amount I spent isn't worth it.
Ten match ticket for me next year.

I feel your pain. My round trip is 150 miles. I will renew my season ticket (even though I've only been to about 6 games this season) for 2 reasons:

1) I'm 60 so it's only £284
2) I'm starting a new job in May and I won't be working weekends or evenings 😆
I don't expect to win or play well every week but watching since 1958 I now enjoy very few home games. Value for money? I don't think so.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I've also been a long-distance fan since 1978 and on Saturday I drove home wondering why I keep doing this. The number of really enjoyable, entertaining games I've seen in the last five years or so could probably be counted on the fingers of one hand.

Having talked myself into getting a new season ticket last week I'm now having second thoughts. I won't stop going to Rovers completely, but I might cut down a fair bit. Will probably go and watch more non-league. Not as expensive and the product can be a better watch.

Surely we've had more than 5 enjoyable games just in the time Ferguson has been here

Burton and Stoke were good. Crewe and Gillingham were largely awful until the last few minutes. Saturday was a bit of a nadir, but was only marginally worse than Scunthorpe, Rochdale or Bradford.

Thing is, even when we went up in 12-13 most of the games were poor. I don't think it's just down to Rovers, btw. I think it is the way modern football is played and unless the players have higher levels of skill than they generally do in League One then it produces turgid football.

It is the massive inconsistency that has dogged us for the last few years. Not sure how we have become some patchy. It just needs the slightest headwind to knock us entirely off our stride.

Thin quality outside the first XI.

I reckon this team is good enough to tilt at the play-offs.

Stuckmann

Mattioni
Alcock
Butler
McCullough/Taylor-Sinclair
Evina

Coppinger
Grant
Keegan

Tyson
Williams

But there's precious little quality in the squad beyond them. A couple of injuries and we're bottom half material.

You take the last 3 games as a counter argument.

You don't say!3 seasons ago we had Spurr and Husband fighting for a left back's place, now we have Cedric fighting amongst himself, saved a good few grand on wages though

I would agree with you on that with one exception and that would be a Jones at the heart of our defence a Jones of 20012/13 season and most of all his leadership. That is what we have missed most of all leadership on and off the pitch. No disrespect to Copps but he is far too quiet to be a skipper.

Which is what I've been saying repeatedly were shite at home were good away, so just because we've had 3 home games the reactions have gone overboard
