Peterborough match £10

Just in case people didn't know it's £10 a lot of people at work didn't have a clue. So I wonder how many others do?

Clearly the message isn't getting out on these offers.

As a matter of interest, where would your colleagues find out about this? Local paper, radio, billboards? Would be interesting to know.

I think that's the point IDM...there is no point just advertising it on Dros...The very vast majority of people who look on Dros are probably st holders or die hard fans anyway, they are preaching to the converted....The Baron makes the best point...I've not seen it advertised anywhere although I don't get any local papers...I suspect the fact this thread has achieved more in awareness already than being on Dross...Has it been on our carry on twitter feed anybody???

It is on twitter and Facebook, but I think that will largely be preaching to the converted.

I was interested to know from where people get their information. Not everyone reads newspapers nowadays, for example.

Ive seen it on Twitter, Facebook, here and DROS. I don't live in Doncaster any not but I know the DFP used to carry adverts sometimes. They could probably do more but it's hardly the atrocity that some on here are making it out to be.

If I was a supporter who only gets to the KM occasionally, either due to distance or other commitments, ie less of a die hard fan as you put it, the FIRST place I would look at is the official website!  And if I didn't use the internet it would be the local paper..

Town centre advertising and leaflets in pubs would help a lot I think, would definitely get the profile up. Unless you go most weeks or are on a forum, then it probably doesn't enter your mind. It's not as if the ground is seen by everyone as a reminder as its not in a prominent place geographically. Just a thought.....

Lots of people (including me) don't do twitter or facebook either.

I've always thought schools would be a good place to advertise if it's a special offer. Nothing like pressure of kids begging to go somewhere

I'm not saying it's a atrocity apart from our twitter feed that is...I have a lot of sympathy with the club on this issue as if I'm honest I'm not sure what's the best way these days to advertise offers like these...If any work at all especially when the Doncaster public have a apathy to Rovers at the best of times never mind when the current standard of football is so poor....Difficult problem to answer....

Town centre advertising, eh? Didn't the marketing department make a big song and dance about their "town centre presence" recently with them getting a nice corner shop front unit in the Frenchgate?

Shame they've become bored of it and haven't updated the next match since LAST YEAR.

Surely that'd be an ideal place to advertise cheap tickets?

(Oh, and I made the marketing department aware of this over a month ago, nothing has happened in the meantime)

Some people on here will still find away to defend the clubs marketing and advertising.

It is embarrassing

And hereby goes another problem. As fans we should be absolutely up in arms about things like this, but it appears that too many people aren't bothered.
This is just yet another example of how poorly the club is run. How does the club expect people to know who we're playing and how much it is to get in? And how long would it take/how much would it cost to update this monthly with all our games - home and away - advertised and where to buy tickets from.

This sort of thing makes my blood boil. It's so bloody elementary. Like I commented above: whoever is responsible for this should be sacked

If he keeps doing such a cracking job, he won't have a carpet to sweep it under!. Nevermind all that crap taking the p..s out of our poor performance earlier in the season on twitter, it would be nice if he was doing his job, getting things advertised all over the town!.
This is a great offer a tenner to watch your local team, it deserves advertising everywhere they can1.

I can only hope Mr Murrant does a better job from the inside than the pathetic one that most of his actions look like from the outside...On the positive side these pages are monitored by the club so hopefully the marketing department are in Gavin's office for a "talk"
