Why in Gods name have we still not strengthened the defence?

The first goal was an utter shambles.

How many players has Ferguson brought in now and what percentage have been midfielders

ATS had an excellent game today.
We lost today because of two mistakes from the keeper and two strikers who at the moment couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Agreed. Alcock simply too small to play CB. Got out muscled all game.

He's decided to stay at Oldham because he's playing. Fergie says it might make his decision easier.

I thought that Evina was the worst defender on the pitch today !

His positioning in the first half was abysmal!
At times as a left back he was standing in the centre circle there right back had so much room he could have set up an allotment

Evina just is not a full back he can't defend. Okay as a wing back, or left midfield.

Alcock is a more solid defender than Taylor-Sinclair, but he hasn't got the size, teams target his lack of height.
Managers when they start losing the plot often make strange decisions like this, as much as i don't rate McKenzie highly, i thought today was made for him, he is limited but he has aerial presence and won't try to be too fancy on the ball.

I thought the defence wasn't too bad. As said ATS had his best game. Our weakness however is allowing teams to get crosses in at will.

McCullough played well again and Copps brought a footballers head to midfield. Middleton unfortunately is allowing the game to drift past him and needs to sharpen up if he wants to make it.

Peterborough we're equally if not more shakey in defence but managed to avoid pressing the self-destruct button.

We keep getting beat by the odd goal. Is the defence the real problem?
The real problem is we cannot score goals.
Probably our worst player yesterday was Williams. Its ok chasing everything and then looking frustrated but as I have said before and got slated for it. His first touch is bloody awful.

I thought so Billystubbs, but people kept saying he would do this or that against us it through me. At least while he has been at Boundary Park his record of scoring has not improved.

He shows no sign of learning from his weakness of not building good defences, he is just carrying on making the same mistakes.
I also think our strikeforce have been really lucky, the defence has had all the stick, when upfront when you look at the combined totals of Williams and Tyson, it's not really good enough, between them they should be looking at thirty five goals a season.
