These stats so far show there will be a decrease in attendances next year by about 1500, taking them below 5,000.

Is that making an assumption that only people who already hold a season ticket have responded to the poll?

Well yes, because it was a question about renewing.

I know, I just thought some people might have ignored it and voted anyway even if they weren't an ST holder :)

Yes mate you're probably right, but I'm guessing the amount of voters who did that are in such a minority as not to affect the forecast too much.

Quite possibly, and if so it doesn't bode well for next season at all in terms of attendances (as you've already pointed out). Obviously certain individuals have strongly voiced their viewpoint, but I'd be interested to know the variety of reasons the 23% have for not renewing.

I would hazard a guess at about the same as you would at 18 or 22

Agree with that

My opinion is than the absolute main reason why people aren't renewing is because the product  is poor. This isn't helped by the club's lack of communication with the fans.

It seems that the fans nonchalant approach is equally matched by the owners.

Until this club can show some proper investment and ambition there is no way I will be buying a season ticket again. Given the dros over the last 5 seasons or so I just can't justify it

I know there are a lot and I mean thousands who feel the same

Could you define 'proper investment'?

Godlike- just buy a ticket man. It means you get 23 free passes off of the moose to go the pub beforehand. That's got to make it worth it.

One of the most convincing arguments I've heard yet.

Yes mate, but we've moved to the other end. Lee wanted cat B so I've gone with him. Shame like because the crack was good last couple of seasons, but it was a bit of a compromise to renew.

Hey Knockers, I have just checked and I'm in T543, with Lee and chair kicker Luke either side of me. We've been given the option of moving to better ones should they come available due to non-renewal.

Been watching Rogers for over 30 years so seen good bad and average over this time. I have renewed but the last couple of years been more out of habit rather than anything else. It's not just Rovers but losing interest in football overall, ridiculous wages and transfer fees, media saturation being told ordinary players are world class, armchair fans, fans expectations, 30 years ago I never thought I would see us in the second tier and play at Wembley both seemed impossible. If it wasn't for Rovers I may have lost interest in football totally. I hope next season I see effort and honest performances and feel like if we get beat its just because the opposition are a good side rather than some of the dire performances we put in during a number of defeats over the last couple of seasons

It will be utterly depressing watching football with 11-12000 empty seats.

There will be next to no local derbies and barely any away fans every week.

I can't wait.

Could we have another 3 options?

1. Never had one
2. Mind your own business
3. None of the above

Various reasons outside of football that mean I won't be renewing for the first time in 18 years. But also have to say I've been bored rigid for the best part of three seasons now as well.

A full(er) stadium makes for a better matchday experience overall - it might only be me, but I go to watch the football to watch the football, not to look at the stands, empty or not..

Judging by every contribution you make to this forum, you're already there Frosty old boy.  I really don't know why you bother.

What else do you do on a Saturday afternoon that is so thrilling?

I gave up a long time ago on Rovers ever winning the Champions League, so now I'm content having a few beers with some like-minded folk then watching my preferred football team kick a bag of wind round a field, and letting off a bit of steam by shouting abuse at the opposition/ref/Rovers and cheering when we score a goal (not so much of that, admittedly) then back to the pub to celebrate/commiserate.

The price of a season ticket is great value compared to having to spend 23 Saturday afternoons in Meadowhell or B&Q.
