I would have him on loan for the season.

A number of Championship and League One clubs have already expressed an interest in taking Anderson on loan next season once he recovers his full fitness.

Hopefully we're also in the mix, but can we compete with the lure of Championship clubs?

Looking at it objectively I think both he and his club will be keen for him to get experience at the highest level possible. Obviously that will have to be balanced against going somewhere where he's likely to get plenty of game time, but I think it's a very tough ask to expect we'll be able to compete on this one. Which is a shame.

I recall one of the reasons he came to us last season was Alan Pardew's view that he should go to a League 1 club. That may rule us out this time around

We would not have been relegated had he stayed fit. Unfortunately he will go to a lower end Championship club or league 1. Depend when he is ready to play.

Really hope so but I just can't see the benefit for him or Palace of dropping a league below where he performed so well last year. He'd be guaranteed playing time in League One and potentially in the Championship, so why let him play in a poorer league just because he enjoyed his time here before?

We thought we'd have no chance of signing Rowe yet we manage to do so. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of signing players of Keshi Anderson's quality too quickly.

Palace will want to develop Keshi, he's not going to do that by dropping down to league 2 they will dictate where he goes. I would love it if we got him but can't see it.

Re signing Keshi, I would rather have our own players playing than have to play borrowed players. It hasn't really worked to well in the past for us.

Might be good for him to come to a L2 side. Character building for sure.

I can possibly see a half season loan followed by a loan to a Championship club or, bench work back at Palace if he cuts the mustard.

IF he comes, it's a massive bonus.

The same was being said with Tommy Rowe a few weeks ago.

But with the loan rules changing, we're going to have to have a few on long term loans.

Tommy Rowe was able to make his own decision on where to go, Keshi Anderson will not. Palace will decide where he goes to make sure he gets the best chance to develop to benefit them.

It would be better if we had a squad with strength in depth, not have to rely on borrowed players

I'd prefer a strong 15 then some players we can develop.

Etheridge
Butler
Alcock
Baudry
Evina
McCullough
Coppinger
Keegan
Rowe
Blair
McSheffrey
Williams

Striker, winger and full back (depending on where Fergie sees Alcock) and we're sorted. Then just bring in players we can develop to go with Lund, Middleton, etc.

We need at least two strikers, right back another centre half and keeper I would say.

Good point, a fair few will need to go to balance things out. I'm sure quite a few will be taken on, but it will take time, because most will be holding out seeing which clubs are interested. I see a fair few ending up in our division or lower.

And this shows how committed the board are to us getting promotion,
If we'd have had to wait till sell players our main targets would have gone

I would agree with that and throw a left back into that list as well.

Assuming McSheffrey signs I think we need another striker, two defenders and a keeper. On the last one, I wonder if Marosi is being offered the chance to stay as back up to Etheridge?

Id be worried if Marosi was back up because they are two young lads. I would prefer a more experienced one that Etheridge can battle with for the shirt and an experienced keeper may help to develop Etheridge more.
