Campsall.

Aye. It's not the fear that's the problem. It's the ability to defend.
Anyway, the postmen are on strike in France...

Did anyone watch France last night and actually think they were any good? I certainly didn't. As soon as they come up against a half decent team they will ship goals. Their defense is terrible.

I thought France at times looked fantastic, at other times very poor, and uncertain in defence. Kante stood out for me. I thought they looked a decent side, that definitely miss Benzema or a younger version of him martial?.
With Giroud up there, he didn't seem to fit into how they were trying to play, he looks out of place, they need movement up there, then they are very dangerous!.

Happy with mine.
Germany and Spain generally looking good - Sweden - dead. Slovakia hanging in there. Ronaldo about to flex his muscles! England - should do Iceland but then tough side of draw!

Who knows?

Truth-be-known I'm really enjoying the tournament!

If we beat Iceland, and the republic beat france, i'm sure we would think we stood a chance. Italy are very capable of beating spain, both not quite what they were, but both still good sides.
I look at this tournament, and i see without being biased, teams round about the same standard as we are. A lot of the 'Top' teams have gone backwards. Italy, Spain, Germany, France etc.
We have improved, as have Wales, Belgium, Iceland, Slovakia, Northern ireland, Republic of Ireland, Croatia etc. It is the most wide open tournament, for who can win it that i have seen in my lifetime.
I'm happy with my prediction for England to win it.

to go close to winning Belgium -that production line will be in production for the foreseable future

to surprise you Slovakia

and a "double bet" wales nil points & n Ireland also nil points

after a disasterous start by the Belgium eleven (note the absence of the word team) and the shock of Slovakia losing to Wales they both survive
Slovakia will no doubt play for penalties against the huns

remember
29 May 2016 - Slovakia stunned World Cup winners Germany with an impressive 3-1 win in a Euro 2016 warm-up almost washed out by heavy rain.

I honestly feel England can go very close in this tournament. From what I've seen we haven't looked a bad side. Had we had a bit of luck in front of goal we would be talked about as potential winners. Fine margins is all. However we've made hard work of it now like. But there's something about us we haven't had for a long time. The core of the squad could be the best we've had in a long time.  Dare to dream.

If we play germany, the raiding full backs from each side would negate each other. Then it would come down to who defends best and takes they're chances.
As much as i think we would have a chance against germany, they have a better midfield and are taking their chances.
I would expect them to look better than us, they have an established team, ours is relatively new compared to theirs. The gap has come down between the two sides, no doubt about it.

My second team has been Germany, but I have Italy in the work sweepstake.

I am torn now...  I would be delighted if Iceland continue and go on and beat France..

I'm liking my predictions. Slightly wrong on England and Muller won't be top scorer but the others looking good.

well I've jut twigged -- a little late --that  belgium might get a chance for revenge on Italy in the final  -- maybe Belgium weren't that bad just  that Italy were better -- after all

It's harsh.

However, if you're defending and you're stupid enough to defend with your arms in the air during an aerial battle, you leave yourself open to a prickly referee pointing to the spot as you've given him an excuse to.

You'd have thought Germany would have learned a lesson after the penalty they gave away the other night.

I agree.. but this was in the 47th minute - where was the added time from?? No subs, no goals (before) and no injuries treated on the pitch, was there??

That's not the point - both sides played on - but where did the time come from?

Don't worry, the ref will knock a couple of minutes off the second half to even it up..........If France are winning.

Didn't matter in the end - despite dominating much of the game, it means nowt if you don't score...

Notwithstanding any injustice with timekeeping or the dodgy penalty, France deserved to win in the end..

It doesn't matter.

With six corners and a few other fouls, it was probably about right.

Rubbish, many games have finished the first half bang on 45 mins..

Anyway, on the whole, it makes no difference now.  Germany had more than enough dominance to win but couldn't score.  Harsh on them, but France deserved to win...

and the best bit of this  competition is thankfully there is no play-off for 3rd place

we all knew france had  a rubbish defence -and would get nowhere - I didn't even realize kosheney qualified for france
nor griessmann*  just shows how much I watch international football  look forward to watching Solihull motors (as I call them )  prefer non league football any day

this competition is just a "space -filler"  do you agree wigley ?
