DF | Andy Williams will be out for 8-10 weeks. We'll look at 10th Dec for his return. We have looked at free agents etc #DRFC

That is awful news. We really missed him today and I'm afraid young Mandeville is nowhere near ready. We need a striker and pronto, but where from?

Big blow this, really not convinced about Mandeville, don't think he's the answer. Completely invisible today

Awful news. Mandeville is just not good enough. May have to change tactics now and play Marquis up front on his own.

We're paying a striker a wage. Play him. We have to play N'Guessan now

I'd change formation to 4 2 3 1

Middleton and Houghton the 2 sat. Blair right hand side. Rowe left. Coppinger number 10 role. Watching Mandeville today made me so angry. He's either lazy or really unfit.

Darren Ferguson understands an agreement has been reached to release Dany N'Guessan from his contract. Not option to replace Williams #drfc

Copps and Rowe going to be even more important now, need them to keep chipping in with goals to cover Williams loss

Must be seeing a different game to some of the people on here, thought Mandeville played well, a lot of intelligent runs across the line and did the basics well. He seems to be growing with every game.

The only silver lining to this cloud is that there are relatively few league games in the next 8 weeks - only one mid-week game (Stevenage) and 2 weekends set aside for FA Cup (5 November and 3 December). To put it another way, if Williams could make 10 December, he would only miss another 6 league games.

I really reckon we need another body (free agent?) in - if Marquis gets injured or banned we are in real trouble.

I wouldn't have him down as lazy or unfit, what he does need is to build up his core strength, gets muscled out far too often

Lita turned terrible a few year back.

Not sure what all of these are like but I'd definitely take Miller, Becchio and Macheda.

Ishmael Miller
Luciano Becchio
Michael Higdon
Yakubu (Currently training with Boreham Wood)
Dale Jennings
Tom Hitchcock
Kiko Macheda
Andy Little

EDIT: Just seen Ishmael Miller has gone to Bury yesterday.

And to think people slate Williams.

Was clear today how good a player he is and how much better we are with him in the team.

Don't think Mandeville is good enough. Especially not at this stage. No movement and very little pace/mobility. Didn't do anything today and rarely does. Definitely need reinforcements in that position, or at least see what the Beest can do.

I think Beestin is seen as a replacement for Coppinger so not a out and out striker.

Manderville isn't a striker he's more of a forward in the Peter Beardsley sort of role

If that is the case then efforts to bring in a free agent striker should be made. We do not have a replacement for Andy.

Today Calder and Middleton showed they cannot step up and improve our midfield so playing 5 is an option but a poor one. Unless Beestin or Longbottom are better than the other two.

Looks like Quintongo will be going to the Premier League with Palace, Southampton, Hull all looking at him and now valued at £300K, so we can use the £100K we had for him and wages we'd pay N'Guessan to bring in a quality striker.

Must be some proven striker on a championship bench fancies a league winners medal?

Number 10 role just behind Marquis then.

Got to be better than persisting with what we saw today.

No loans, so they'd have to be released.

If there was then he couldn't play for us or anyone until the next transfer window by then Andy Williams should be ready and also McSheffrey.

We have to sign an out of contract striker.
