What happened at the end of the game at the bottom of the South Stand? Heard someone got a good hiding?

Didn't something kick off between Marquis and a Colchester player at the final whistle?

Yes. Started before the ref blew up and carried on for 10 seconds after. A bit of handbags,  really.

Shows how much notice of league tables I take at this part of the season.

Shows how much notice you take of Doncaster Rovers!

Sorry, couldn't resist..

Back to the OP - as folks said the other day, every club has its share of idiots.

Same crap will still be going on in five years time.

Been going home and away for years. Seen hardly any in fighting over and above having a large crowd in a confined space. To insinuate otherwise is rubbish.

Lets be fair though, five years ago it was going on, and five years before that it was going on.

My way to deal with it was to walk away.

I just don't recognise this, and I've been going to the Rovers for 50 years.
Your cynicism is emanating from almost every post you make Rigo. I just don't understand where you're coming from and why you bother.

Not really, I just skim-read them nowadays because it's not important at this stage of the season. It's a guide to which teams might be in the reckoning for whatever, six months from now.

Now, if I was writing some big article for a broadsheet of course I'd research, but not when I'm discussing it with half a dozen whingey arses on a fourth tier club's unofficial forum.

You and 5 others??

This is becoming hilarious, I actually laughed out loud when I read this.

Do yourself a favour Rigo and drift away. You used to have many pals on here but you seem intent on alienating yourself. It's not pretty to watch.

I've seen it  - the way Andy Liney was treated by others, the whole VSC vs Others stuff, chanting at games, etc, brawling in the stands at Hartlepool, two weeks after shitgate at Leyton Orient.

Stretching it further back, Nigel Wroe taking folks to court, Russell and his Dad, Puppy after the Carlisle game in 2008.

There'll still be an undercurrent of some b*llocks in a few years because some folk can't just watch a game without getting het up, taking it too seriously, or taking themselves too seriously. The most sensible fans are those that go, pay their money, enjoy/endure the 90-minute spectacle and go home again without wanting to knock someone out and get a criminal record for a stupid reason.

Sorry, but this stuff has been going on for years.

But if you are so bitter, why do you come on here?

There's more to a football club than an unofficial forum where probably 5% of the overall fanbase regularly contributes.

And no-one's stating anything to the contrary. Although this forum is the only tie you have with the club now, isn't it?+

So the evidence that there is regular violence between rovers fans is some minor squabbles on the internet and THAT infamous Retford dinner dance 15 years yonder that affected rigo so greatly to this day and that we still have to hear about.

Load of unsubstantiated b*llocks really from someone who appears to have a pathological hatred for people who support this club. I see the same faces at most games and they all largely get on.

What exactly happened at the infamous dinner?
I can't remember hearing a story although I do seem to remember a couple of fall outs at games that I didn't witness.

You have to wonder what the hierarchy in this place are up to when they only yesterday ban an upstanding member like sad-rovers (who's offered nothing but love and warmth to the forum) and let this pony parade around the paddock telling all and sundry how he's above us all now (for the 50th time) he reads the guardian and watches non-league football.

So why do you keep coming back on here if you've no interest in Rovers anymore? It's a simple enough question but I doubt you'll answer.

Absolute WUM.

Also I'm sure the odd scrap has happened at all football clubs over the years. A hand full of incidents over 10 years or so is hardly evidence of a 'problem'

I'm not above anyone, don't read the Guardian and I barely watch any British football live nowadays, let alone lower league/non-league.

As long as there's one tie in the draw with a non-league club at home where I've not been to, it'll do for me.

Maidstone United would be my choice. Not bothered who they play as long as it's a FL team.

On this we can agree.

Speaking for myself, I go to the football to watch the game, hopefully being entertained by the football.

You have no valid view on things. You don't support rovers and you don't regularly attend rovers matches. But you comment as if you do.

And this imaginary knowledge you use constantly to knock the supporters of the club. It's not on really is it?
