Blair lucky not to receive a straight Red , a high reckless challenge even though he did slip.
One of our players was extremely lucky not to get a red card for calling the East Stand linesman a "fat c***".The more I think of it I am really disappointed and would have been happy with a red card in that situation, bad for the sport if players are not respecting refs like that.

Fully agree with BJW and I admire Rugby Union for the way the players respect the refs.To be clear on this, for my part, i only said that it is hard to respect people who can't do their jobs properly.I never said anything about screaming or shouting in peoples faces.On the RU issue, it would be interesting to have football officials miked up in the same way as the RU ones are.The conversation between the ref and linesman about the non penalty on Monday would have been good to hear.The football officials are very often aloof in their attitudes to players whereas the RU ones explain quite clearly to players what the decision is and for what reason.If football officials behaved in the same way then maybe they would get a better response?
