It's the last game of the season and at the final whistle one of the teams had been relegated, and the other had been promoted. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but the fans of the promoted team were just as downhearted as the relegated team. Why?

Cos the promoted Team cannot go up as its Ground is not fit for the higher "echelon" to which it was going ?
Happened to Darlington this season - although only denying them a place in the play-offs rather than automatic promotion. So they are probably the only club to have been relegated from the league in part due to having a ground with too many seats and then denied progress on the route back in to it for having a ground with not enough.
